In 1932 that belief was prevalent when Lawrence, "Tommy" Tompkins started the company. In the midst of the Great Depression and employed as the national sales manager for Kluge Letterpresses, he saw the need for a service based company to support those customers. He left Kluge and opened the doors for Tompkins Printing Equipment Company on Dearborn Street in the heart of Printers Row in Chicago.
Since our founding in 1932, Tompkins has built our reputation in the Graphic Arts industry on integrity, honesty, superior customer service and support. We provide service on printing and bindery equipment, such as paper cutters, booklet makers, collators, creasers, folders, wide format printers, perfect binders, digital envelope printers, and finishing equipment.

Our used equipment can be offered with a 30 day guarantee on parts and labor or "AS IS" without warranty at the prices listed. We encourage you to visit our 25,000 square feet facility for an inspection or demonstration. Equipment is quoted as FOB (our factory), Schiller Park, IL. We can provide shipping on our Tompkins truck and provide crating if necessary.
