Atlantic Recycling Group, LLC (ARG) is a holding company comprised of mid-Atlantic region metal recycling operations, including Montgomery Scrap Corporation in Rockville, MD and United Iron & Metal, LLC in Baltimore, MD. ARG also owns M-Scrap Transportation Services, LLC which provides hauling for all ARG companies.
The Millstone family started Montgomery Iron & Metal Co. in Rockville, Maryland in 1949. From its original location on Route 355, the business moved to its current location on Southlawn Lane in the early 1970's to make way for the Metro Rail. The name of the business was changed slightly to Montgomery Scrap Corp. to emphasize the company's ability to handle more than just metal products.
