I am a Licensed Psychologist located in Boca Raton, Florida, and I specialize in Child Psychology. It is my passion to work with children of all ages to help them reach their full potential and to become self-confident, happy, and well-adjusted.

Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling (psychotherapy) that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Parental Consultation is a type of service that aims to provide the necessary knowledge, tools, guidance, and most especially support to parents without bias or judgment.
For years comedians have posed the question, "Why don't children come with manuals?" In fact, in today's highly technological society, shouldn't we be able to go on Youtube to find the answers to the myriad of challenges we face as parents? I wish it were that simple. Raising mature, confident, and competent kids is perhaps the most significant challenge you will ever take on.
I begin by asking couples to think of two divorced couples they know. One couple that treated each other with civility and who worked to keep the children out of the process. The other couple who treated each other with disdain and hostility and dragged their children right into the fray. Folks, Divorce is a number line, and you are going to fall somewhere on the line.
Upon graduating from Clark University with a BA in Psychology, Dr. Joe spent the next six years teaching second grade in Brookline, MA. This "hands-on" experience in the classroom, combined with 31 years as a practicing Child Psychologist, enables Dr. Joe to communicate very effectively with classroom teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length, and the cost is $225.00. Payment is due after each session. I do not work with insurance companies, so my office manager will provide an invoice that you can submit to your insurance carrier. If your decision to work together hinges on receiving money from your insurance carrier, please check their policy before starting treatment.
