Contact lenses are a convenient and satisfying alternative to eyeglasses. The first step to a contact lens fitting is a comprehensive eye exam in our Miami Optometrist practice. This is our regular exam that determines overall eye health and eyeglass prescription.

Scleral lenses are a powerful vision correction option for patients who have not found success with other methods. These custom-made lenses are designed to sit on the sclera (the white of the eye) and vault over the patient's cornea in a way that reduces discomfort and minimizes the impact of corneal irregularities.
The EyePrintPRO is a prosthetic contact lens. It is like a scleral lens in that the weight of the lens rests on the sclera (the white part of the eye) and vaults over the cornea. The EyePrintPRO is made from the same oxygen-permeable material used for scleral lenses. Because of these similarities, the EyePrintPRO has similar uses and benefits as scleral lenses.
Although orthokeratology is a treatment that has been available for over 40 years, there is increasing recent interest in the last decade. This is a revolutionary non-surgical technology in which contact lenses are designed to safely and gradually reshape the curvature of the front surface of the eye (the cornea) to improve or eliminate nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism and presbyopia.

I went for a scleral lens fitting. The place is small but neat and nice. Great aesthetic. Staff is friendly some more than others. They all try and work with you to make your experience as a whole very good. Will be returning despite the cost of the lens here. Doctor Kramer is knowledgeable, informative and to the point

Had to wait for quite some time but every minute of the wait was worth it! Dr. Kramer is super efficient with testing and finding the proper „in between” as I do not want reading glasses! Will be back with my grandchildren, super nice and … last but not least…. Dr.Kramer speaks French! Thanks Marina

I have been a client of Dr. Robert Shier for 30 years, and there is a reason I have stayed with the same optometrist for so long. His professionalism is unquestionably the finest. He understands his patients needs and concerns. Optician Rick Bruce is as Dr. Shier, professional and patient with his clients. I must say my experience in getting fitted for eye glasses was a pleasant one. Not to mention. I look really great wearing my new spectacles.
