Bill Bender Painting and Wallcovering is a professional painting and wallcovering contracting company. Bill started the business in 1978 in Columbia, CT following his graduation from the National School of Professional Paperhanging in Rutland, VT. We are now located in Windham Center.
Through the 1980's Bill Bender Painting & Wallcovering concentrated on installing wallpaper and later added interior painting, which nowadays accounts for a good portion of our work.Recently, you may have heard or seen on TV that wallpaper is making a comeback. Textures and bold, beautiful patterns in somewhat smaller doses than in the past are adding a dimension that you just can't get with paint.

I have known Bill Bender for the last 25 years. During my tenure at the Savings Bank of Manchester, Bill was contracted numerous times to paint and paper various department offices as well as new and renovated branch facilities. Bill's work was so well accepted that no other firms were considered to bid on the various projects.

Using Bill Bender Painting & Wallcovering for the wall/ceiling repair and painting of our master bedroom was the best decision we could have made in giving our bedroom the quality overhaul it desperately needed. Bill and his entire crew (Crag, Cody, Mike & Jocelyn) were beyond professional and did a masterful job over the course of an entire week. Bill Bender and his crew went beyond expectations in my recent large master bedroom redo. From removing the popcorn ceiling, repairing wall damage to the painting of walls, doors and trim I couldn't be more impressed. Using email for scheduling, contracts and general questions made communicating with Bill so easy. The hard working team of Craig and Cody were always prompt, polite and friendly. If you are looking for professionalism and a beautiful finished project, I recommend Bill Bender without a doubt. The hardest part was picking out the paint color!

We were a military family about to sell our house. We desperately needed help finishing some things to a high standard. Bill dropped by, gave us a quote, saw the trouble we were in, and made time for us. He and his team were flexible and hardworking. They always showed up on time and did the things they said they would in a timely and transparent manner. The team was courteous, kind, and extremely professional. The finished results blew me away. ART Recovery Technologies is an art restoration company in Hartford, Connecticut. We used Bill Bender and his team to reinstall two icon murals on canvas that we restored after water loss in a Connecticut church.
He and is team were professional in all aspects of installation - down to the preparation prior to installation. Excellent communication throughout. We would highly recommend him for complex installations and his pricing is very good also.

I have used Bill Bender for several jobs at my property, including interior painting and wallpapering and exoteric painting. Every job also involved some minor repairs to wood trim, windows, and repairs and squaring of walls and ceilings. I can not recommend Bill and his team enough. His work is impeccable and his prices reasonable. I also trust him completely—I couldn’t be at the property for much of the work he did, so he and his team would open and lock the house and look out for anything else that might be going on there. I have received many many compliments on the paint and wallpaper
