Regular dental visits are essential to make sure oral health problems - from tooth decay to oral cancer - are detected and treated in a timely manner. At our office, your oral health is our primary concern. We want to make sure your teeth stay healthy, function well, and look great! From regular cleanings and exams to advanced restorative treatments, our office is here to meet your dental needs.
The staff at James K. Cantwil, D.D.S. maintains the highest levels of accreditation and pursues ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in the dental field. We are extremely proud of our dental team. Dena has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 1994. She has spent all but one of her years as an RDA working for Dr. Cantwil.
It includes our office location, a map & directions, hours, appointment scheduling, insurance acceptance, and billing policies. We accept most traditional insurance plans, and our office would be happy to verify acceptance of your plan. If given the choice, it is best to choose a dental plan that allows you to choose a dentist of your choice.
Your first visit to James K. Cantwil, D.D.S. involves a few special steps so that we can get to know you. You can also save some time by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment. We have worked hard to ensure that you will be treated in a way that you deserve. Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you.

Great place. My daughter has anxiety about going to the dentist and they were great with her. We had to go back twice due to her anxiety and they were so understanding. Even when she wasn't on her best behavior they were still really professional. The communication was great about what the plan for her were.

I might be a little biased considering Dr. Cantwil is my dad :) but I do see how much time and effort he puts into his practice. He cares about the health of his patients so much and really stays up to date on new procedures and is constantly enhancing his education about oral health. Everyone at his office is so welcoming and kind!

I have received the best care and advice from Dr. Cantwil. He is a true "doctor" in that he cares for not only your dental needs, but your overall oral health and beyond. He's a doctor that truly cares for and about his patients. My 81 year old mother needed a new dentist, and she's singing the praises of Dr. Cantwil, and how comfortable he made her feel!

For over five years I have trusted Dr. Cantwill with my oral health. He cares about each of his patients and takes time to explain what needs to be done as well as taking time to get to know his patients. I never feel rushed or pressed on anything. It is such a safe and friendly place that even my two year old son loves it! I'm so happy to have been introduced to this office and recommend this practice to all my family and friends.

Dr. Cantwil is extremely approachable, funny, skilled, and thorough with his work. I came into his office for a teeth cleaning, and they noticed I was due for dental x-rays. It's a good thing! Because those x-rays revealed that I had 2 tiny cavities. Dr. explained to me that these cavities were not a result of poor dental hygiene or an over-consumption of acidic drinks and sweets. Instead, he identified that the cavities were simply from the genetic anatomy of my teeth. He went ahead and filled the cavities and sealed the teeth to prevent any reoccurrence.
