Services
Barton House Playschool is a child-centered, half-day, Christian preschool that welcomes children of any race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin. We are a non-profit corporation, and we are licensed by the Community Care Licensing Division of the California Department of Social Services. Learning involves the process of discovery, and it should be hands-on, active and intrisically motivated.
The faculty at Barton House Playschool meets and exceeds state licensing requirements and have been selected for their ability to guide your child through the learning process in a loving and caring way. Each teacher is certified in First Aid and CPR. The low student/teacher ratio meets and exceeds state licensing requirements and allows for an individualized program.

Our very first week started with a few tears (from both of us) and I have no doubt it will end the same way because of how much we all love the school.

We absolutely adore BHP. After touring multiple schools, there was no doubt that Barton was the place my son was supposed to be. It was quaint, filled with imaginative play setups, and most of all, you could feel the overwhelming amount of love within the school. Our very first week started with a few tears (from both of us) and I have no doubt it will end the same way because of how much we all love the school. I am so thankful to have found this perfect little school.

I can't believe no one has reviewed this. My child went here a few years ago for preschool. It was an amazing experience from the teachers, to the structure, to the play equipment available. There are lines where parents line up before the sun is up to register, so you must think ahead. Like 6 months ahead!
My child learned a lot and had so much fun here. Such a safe and loving environment.

I looked at so many preschools before I was blessed to find Barton House Playschool. I was so nervous to put my oldest daughter in preschool but when I found Barton House my anxious fears went away. The kind and loving staff was exactly what I wanted in a preschool. This staff, from the director to the teachers and the aides, are all about encouraging your child and helping each individual little spirit shine. The learning through play was perfect for my daughter. She just flourished there! Each year I saw my shy sweet girl become more confident and successful. I truly do not have one complaint

Hundreds of satisfied families come to and graduate from this wonderful play school each year and it troubles me greatly to see you tarnish the Barthouse play school's good name. I was so excited for my son to go BHP. I was hoping that what I had heard about the school was true. I found it to be totally opposite from what my family experienced. The director would wait until the end of the month before anything would be communicated. Let alone the teacher for three years old class hardly communicated. We had a parent conference after a month, they acted like they had never seen a busy 3 year old, mind you he's all boy. During that parent conference the teacher had her back to me the entire time. So unprofessional! Finally after them making inferences that he might be autistic
