After your first orthodontic consultation, we will be happy to discuss the best treatment plan for you. We are pleased to offer a professional opinion and options to straighten your teeth and give you a great smile. The earlier we catch problems with your child's bite, the simpler they are to fix. The results are often better than if we wait and require less work.

Early treatment goals may include correcting jaw growth problems and space management for permanent teeth. We use a digital scan to make aligners to move teeth according to the doctor's treatment goals. Aligners combined with an orthodontic treatment plan are a great option for correcting minor to moderate tooth rotations.
Services
I am a certified dental assistant and started working for Dr. Helms in 2016. I assist her in the initial placement of braces and also instruct patients on oral hygiene and the overall care of braces and appliances. In addition, I am the inventory coordinator. I order the supplies for the assisting team.
As a young girl, I looked up to my orthodontist, a kind man who seemed to enjoy his profession. Years later I understand the privilege of interacting with a family of patients that is appreciative. Orthodontic treatment is life-changing. I am honored to provide orthodontic care that requires precision and skill, yet improves the patient's overall well being.
Upon every visit, you will see the same doctor who started the practice over 20 years ago. We pride ourselves on fostering a family friendly atmosphere. Dr. Helms implements current techniques while maintaining treatment goals for aesthetics, functions, and stability. Each person and every smile will receive a unique and custom treatment option based on individual needs.
Now that you have your braces, how do you take care of them? It's important for you to know how to properly take care of your braces throughout your entire orthodontic treatment. Don't worry; you'll be eating popcorn and snacking on potato chips again in no time! However, before you can start enjoying some of the treats you love, you will need to take special care to avoid any foods that could damage your new appliances.
Clean retainers thoroughly once a day with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Use warm but not hot water. Brushing retainers removes the plaque, and eliminates odors. Efferdent or other orthodontic appliance cleaners can be used, but do not take the place of brushing. If you have any questions or concerns about your retainers, or your retainers need adjusting, call us.

I have had a wonderful experience with Lana Helms office. My daughters teeth are looking wonderful. Only bad thing I have to say is if you are going to reprimand your employees do so in private. Very unprofessional!
