Kathy provides counseling with the foundational support of encouragement, hope, understanding, and patience flowing from a wellspring of Biblical discernment and compassion in combination with scientific, clinical methodologies. Her goal is to help clients gain greater personal insights needed to cope with life challenges and chart positive behavioral changes.
Clinical and personal experiences have well-equipped her to guide others on their journeys towards healing and growth. Realizing the need for more intensive clinical experiences, and the strengths drawn from sharing within group therapy, Kathy developed Restoration Retreats to provide those benefits and dynamics as a supplement for those who typically only experience weekly counseling sessions with their counselors.

Restoration Retreats provides an educational and experiential intensive outpatient counseling experience in a small, intimate, community setting. We address repeated patterns of dysfunctional behaviors interfering with relationships and life. Within the retreat, we provide the opportunity to take an in-depth look at core relationship issues with self, God, and others.
The Restoring Dignity retreat is a more in-depth retreat designed for those suffering from repeated patterns of dysfunctional adult adaptive behaviors. Persons with histories of emotional, spiritual, verbal, sexual, or physical abuse, or those in recovery from addictions, may also benefit.
Restoring dignity provides an overview of family history, underlying emotional messages, recovering appropriate emotions, and application of God's love and truth so that the precious truth about one's unique self can be lived out in authenticity, truth, and with positive purpose.

This retreat is designed for couples who have experienced the types of problems described in Restoring Dignity Retreats. Often, as one person changes, the nature and dynamics of the relationship change. Many recovery programs do not adequately, nor experientially, address these issues.
It is almost always an opportunity for growth beyond the less than nurturing concepts that have emotionally attracted people to each other, and often one or the other may deny growth needs due to trauma experiences.Regardless, couples often are attracted to others with a similar capacity for emotional, spiritual, and mental intimacy, although on the surface, communication patterns might seem otherwise.
