I’m a past employee of PTI. It was a great place to work when I first started driving for them. But with the high turnover in the office and drivers it went south quickly. I the 5 years that I drove for them I had 6 different driver managers. Plus they pay shortest miles. The trucks are newer trucks with the bare minimum for comfort. I wasn’t even done cleaning out my personal belongings and they put someone in my truck. It supposedly was still assigned to me. Stephanie in recruiting was such a terrible experience to deal with, they act nice to you when you are about to come aboard and join, but if life happens and makes you change certain plans they don't care for your well being overall, regardless of what happened. Glad I will be taking my business elsewhere

Put in an application they called me back asked about past then told me they are not going to look at my application any further and are looking for more qualified candidates. Past had nothing to do with driving. Im currently working the same position I was applying for at a different company so how is that not a qualified candidate?I have more experience then the people in the training program 7 years more experience. Clearly this company discriminates!!

Junk equipment. How do the local trailers pass DOT inspection? Inward facing babysitter cameras and so much more. Companies like this are the reason they need to have recruiters to make this company sound so great when it's one of the worst in the area. The best trucking companies don't need recruiters to sell their ludicrous b.s.

Not a friendly environment. HR department is disengaged. HR management needs to pay attention to who's around the corner when they are gossiping and poking fun of employees.
Concerned about turnover and focusing on interviewing when they should be sure management is walking the walk regarding the supposed "culture".
Salaried positions mean work at least 45- 50 hours a week for extended periods of time without appreciation or compensation.

Going through an active work zone with workers around, at a posted reduced speed, PTI trucker was less than 3 feet behind my bumper as I was going the maximum speed for the work zone. Several vehicles directly in front of me so I could not go any faster. As he passed me while I was exiting, he gives me the thumbs up and other hand gestures. Not the first time I've personally seen PTI truckers being unprofessional.

Inward facing cameras because drivers like myself REFUSE to work for companies who can't trust their employees. Been there, done that, and won't do it again. Inward facing cameras can hang a driver just as fast as it can help them. I'd rather be a wolf than a sheep in this big brother over-regulated industry with a SPOTLESS driving record.
