Services
The mission of DASSdance is to explore the human condition through an All-Terrain approach to dance theater that engages a diverse contemporary community. Produce inclusive programming that showcases diverse artistic voices to inspire a more conscience community. Consistently compensate our professional dancers for their time spent rehearsing and performing.
You will only need to input registration and billing information once for each family. Note: All classes are open for online attendance for dancers unable to attend in person classes. At DASSdance, dancers move through levels based on age and skill level. As students progress they are expected to expand their dance experience by taking multiple classes a week in variety of dance styles.
DASSdance Junior and Senior Companies are for dancers ready to take their training to the next level through our pre-professional dance training program. Students must show a strong commitment to athleticism and artistry, and display dedication to their dance training. Company dancers are focused, confident, hard-working, and passionate and serve as leaders to the DASSdance student body.
DASSdance believes in making dance accessible to everyone. We offer after-school classes on sight at various Seattle Public Schools. These classes offer an exciting and athletic introduction to dance. Over a semester students learn techniques in contemporary, ballet, and jazz and Hip Hop in a supportive environment with an emphasis on CREATIVITY, individuality and FUN!
DASSdance has been putting on action-packed performances for almost 20 years, starting in NYC at venues such as the Joyce Soho, Barynishnakov Arts Center and Diane Von Furstenberg - The Theatre. DASSdance began presenting performances and programs for youth in 2011. As the school grows, we are passionate about giving young dancers the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings.
