These signs have endured grueling sun, sleet, hail, wind, freezing temperatures and desert heat for years without failing, standing the test of time.
With the advent of digital imaging, the possibility of full color outdoor signage evolved. HPL, fiberglass embedment and polycarbonate signs began to appear in parks and museums everywhere. While these technologies played a vital role in bringing color signage outdoors, they had inherent limitations and were quite expensive.

Non-reflective signs are more economical than reflective signs. However, they do not offer the same level of night time visibility when illuminated by automobile headlights. If you feel night time visibility is important, we recommend a reflective sign. Reflectivity is also recommended if the signs are to be located on public roadways.
Gopher Sign Company's corporate offices are located in St. Paul, Minnesota where our administrative functions, engineering, graphic design, accounting and sales and marketing are done. Our manufacturing facility is located in Clear Lake, South Dakota. Within this 60,000 square foot facility are the people and equipment that have made Gopher Sign Company one of the premier suppliers of signage in the country.

Recognizing that all of the durable outdoor sign technologies in use today, including HPL, fiberglass embedment, and fused polycarbonate, have elements of their manufacturing processes that are not environmentally friendly, we developed ImageLOC with a focus on environmental stewardship.
We're just going to toot our own horn here because we think this is pretty exciting! Recently Gopher Sign won the award for Best New Product at the 2018 SEGD Conference in Minneapolis. Our breakthrough technology called iLOC-A/V is an ImageLOC sign with integrated Bluetooth audio and video capability.

We manufacture an extensive array of traffic related signage, recreational signs, novelty signs, license plates, embossed signs and a full complement of interpretive, wayfinding signs and related exhibit stands and bases.
