We believe in the philosophy that if you treat people the way you want to be treated, it will come back to you. In 1991 we grew to 2 trucks, in 1992 we had 3 trucks, and at the end of 1995 we were running 6 trucks. By 2008-2009 the great recession started to affect our business, we were running 10 trucks full time and had 20 guys on our crew.
Around that time a lot of our competitors could not keep up with the failing housing market and a lot of moving companies in our local areas went out of business or had to change their name. The biggest thing that kept us afloat was our consistent stream of repeat and referral customers. We also noticed that people began to downsize, so we started our own store called Consignment House.

To this day George has maintained the reputation of Short Moves as the most trusting and consistent moving company in Florida. We do full service moves, including all dis-assembly and re-assembly of furniture, and packing or unpacking of boxes if needed. We show up prepared to take care of everything.

Our main goal, if you use our company, is that when we are done you will tell your friends, neighbors and co-workers about us and use us the next time you have the occasion to use a mover. Pack flatware by placing one plate in the center of your packing paper. Grasp about 2 sheets of paper at one corner, pull over to completely cover plate, stack 2nd plate on first plate, grasp 2nd corner of your paper, pull over and cover stacked plate.

Have your garage sales and estate sales, and after all that if you still have items left on move day, send it back to Consignment House!. Help cut down the cost of your move by selling us your used furniture, antiques and any other items you don't want to take with you. Just let us know before your move what items you would like to consign and we will load them on our truck and bring them to our shop to sell for you.
