I love Heide and the staff of Lava. I always am welcomed right when I walk in. Beautiful atmosphere throughout the entire spa. Been going to Heide for about 5 years for my monthly massage. Best massage therapist! Love the products that she uses! Best part is that all of the products are hand made! Great place overall!!

Recently my daughter and I booked a spa package. We were excited to experience different services that neither had ever tried before and it was our first time at Lava for services. We had a disappointing experience. When we first arrived we were told they were short staffed. The only ones there were the owners. The room where we had our facials was set up while we were waiting in the room. Heidi did both our facials but was switching back and forth between my daughter and I. Owner is very outspoken and rude. I overheard her yelling at her employees, in front of customers. She said it was a privilege to work for her, and they must earn it. Prices are very high for the area. The amenities seem like a waste of time and money. If you go over your time, they will charge extra. Even if you're changing clothes. Everytime I go in, they have new people. Must not be able to keep employees that like getting yelled at and degraded in front of others. I recommend finding another place to relax. My last visit was my last time.

Absolutely the best spa experience and massage I've ever had! After extensive back surgery, I suffer with chronic pain daily, but with the help of the trained massage therapists at Lava, my pain is being almost completely eliminated through deep tissue massage and use of the holistic products Heidi (the owner) creates and sells at the spa. I highly recommend!

I’ve been loyal since they were a little shop a few doors down when a spa party for a friend’s bachelorette introduced me to Heide. Her bath bombs are what hooked me and friendly smile what makes it wonderful to come back. Favorite product (aside from aforementioned bath bombs) is Deep Moisture Wrinkle Rescue Cream. I haven’t used any other moisturizer since I’ve discovered this product and am a lifetime devotee to it. Thankful for these wonderful products, wonderful team, and wonderful massages which I must allow myself to enjoy more often!

My husband and I scheduled a couples' experience for our anniversary and did an hour of spa services such as the Himalayan salt room and charcoal room followed by an hour of massage. We both have issues calming down and had some reservations into buying into all the decor and experiences, but by the time we got to the sauna (3rd experience), we were more relaxed and kinda got it. We did do this tub experience where we transferred between hot and cold and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only issue was the transition from there to a massage as you walk into their store with their natural products

Doesn't matter who you have a massage with, Tom, Sarah or Heide, you won't have a better massage anywhere! I am serious, I have had many massages in many different places and this will always be my #1. Plus Heide's all natural products can't be beat. Love her Fix It Cream for all my aches and pains. Her body lotions are amazing and keep my skin hydrated and feeling so soft. You definitely need to stop in the new location on Chesterfield in Maumee...much larger and offering more services to come. Now Lava Spa.

Just had a massage by Tom at Transcend by Heidi. Incredible! Best massage I've had in Toledo! I had gotten so tired of paying for mediocre massages here in Toledo that I stopped getting them. A friend recommended that I see Heidi. When I called, she was booked 3 weeks out and, rather than waiting, I took an appointment with her associate Tom. So happy that I did! He was so thorough and relaxing. I left feeling so mellow and relaxed. Absolutely recommend this business.
