Extremely good customer service - very prompt on all questions asked and forms needed. This is the only place I will stay in the Des Moines Metro moving forward and I have stayed multiple places - Cameron is great to work with and if you have had issues or concerns with other hotels not providing great customer service (which can be hard to come by) stay here! Top notch and you the customer comes first which ultimately leads to an enjoyable experience and repeat customers! Book this hotel and move on with your busy life.

I had a wonderful stay, the Machine Shed next door has a large selection of menu items to choose from, sure to please any palette. While you wait browse the Country Store for a unique experience. It's also the site of the Living History Farms tour. Check it out you will not be disappointed. Special shout out to Josh Stroeber for going above and beyond for us during our stay.

Hotel Renovo is my top hotel recommendation for anyone coming into Des Moines. The hotel decor is unique and stylish, while the staff is extremely helpful. Hotel Renovo hosted our wedding guests (and my groom) the weekend of our wedding this past summer. They were willing to help with nearly anything we needed which was greatly appreciated.
The hotel offers a sizable indoor pool, lobby bar, and ample outdoor gathering space with games, firepits, and chairs. I also loved that some of the guests rooms on the first floor have their own walkout spaces with outdoor rocking chairs, cute! The rooms are

Shout out to Mary, the girl working the front desk! She was super sweet during check in and assisted with helping us exchange quarters for our laundry and getting us additional soaps. Hotel Renovo is a boutique hotel with a farmhouse modern theme. They also offer Beekman 1802 goat milk products in your room and for sale in the lobby as well (LOVE goat milk skin products!!) This hotel offers a gym, pool, heated hot tub and laundry. They offer grab and go breakfast with includes apples, fruit bars, muffins, tea and coffee.
The stay itself was fine, nice and clean room. We were on the first floor

I have nothing but awesome things to say about Hotel Renovo! Upon checking in, the staff was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I wish I knew the gentleman’s name that was at the front desk because he was great. The facility is beautiful and the room was clean and perfect. The only thing I would change would be the temperature in the pool area as it was pretty toasty, but it was manageable! The pool was nice and warm for the kids and they had a blast. There’s a bags game out front in the garden, ping pong outside of the pool area in the courtyard

Sometimes you need to get away from home and do a little stay cation even if it's only to West Des Moines.
Hotel Renovo is a good spot to do this!
The rooms are cosy and sleek. Think modern layout.
You don't have to pay for parking.
You are close to a bunch of different food options.
You are also connected to a fancy pants restaurant/bar
Nice pool/hot tub.
Family friendly environment.
When I checked in they gave me tickets for drinks at the bar.. The bar has coffee too if drinking is not your bag.
The hotel is being very safe during covid times there are lots of hand sanitizer

Beautiful hotel, clean, accommodating. Frankly, could use some improvement on their insulation. We stayed in the Loft Suite, and throughout the night heard noises from the hallway. But most disturbingly got an earful of our neighbors sexy time. I've stayed in many hotels, and never gotten such an earful. Others have commented that the rooms could use better soundproofing, and I fully support. There's no chance I would book a romantic weekend with my husband knowing that we have zero privacy for almost $200/night. We may as well stay home with our kids.

This hotel was not worth $199 for a night. The room was average, the toilet was dirty, and I didn't discover there was no extra toilet paper until it was too late. The evening clerk wore a mask; the morning clerk did not. Almost NONE of the guests wore a mask, and you have to wonder what, if any, CDC guidelines they follow.

The room was clean and neat. I didn't like the customers service here. I had a breakfast voucher but had to checkout 5 AM; usually most places will provide a bagged breakfast when you do an early checkout like a fruit-muffin-water... but this place was not accommodating. There are other places in the city that are just as nice and closer to the airport.

Rang in the New Year at Hotel Renovo. The package they offered was really fantastic! When we checked in, we received party favors. The event included an appetizer buffet; free beer (including a small craft selection), wine and signature cocktails; live music; champagne toast (including a souvenir flute) and confetti at midnight. The next morning they had a hangover breakfast, including a mimosa or bloody mary, and the band played an acoustic set. This was a small venue so minimal lines and you could get up close to the stage if you wanted. Kudos to the staff who didn't hesitate when we requested

The room was nice - nice decor and high quality bedding and toiletries. It faced the pool, which while convenient because we used the gym, pool, and hot tub both days of our stay, was a little annoying not having a source of natural light without compromising privacy. Other reviews noted the noise level of pool-adjacent rooms, but I can't speak to that because we were there M-W, and didn't see anyone else use the pool besides us.
Breakfast was disappointing. It included pastries, fruit, oatmeal and other cold items as well as a good variety of hot food - eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes

Hotel very reasonably priced and loved the contemporary theme. Rooms real nice. Suggest staying here if in the area.
Only a very small complaint and that was that the walls are very thin and can hear people in the halls. Housekeeping was very loud during the morning. Doors slamming, them talking loud, vacuum was loud. Would suggest they close the doors while serving the rooms.
Had a little issue with multiple rooms and charges to credit cards. Took 3 tries to get it accurate, as we wanted separate rooms on separate credit cards and their computer system ended up putting the same card on

We opted to stay here the two times we've visited Des Moines and it never disappointed. Technically it's located in Urbandale which is just a 15 min drive to Des Moines. Hotel could best be described as boutique as you'll notice from the first moment you enter. A lot ranch styling and modern themes going on throughout and all around it just feels clean everywhere you go. The front desk and staff are pretty awesome and have no problem fetching any additional amenities you might need from extra bottles of water to more shampoo and even a toothbrush and toothpaste if you need it. Boutique ranch style hotel. It has 4 rocking chairs on the wrap around porch. A lovely warm fire that heats up the middle of the hotel and plenty of seating. The rooms are spacious and walk-in showers that could hold a lot of people. The hotel has free WiFi that I could never get access. Overall I would recommend this place.

Superb place to stay. We visited the Subaru dealer, car needed an oil change. (We have been on the road for 21 days). He suggested this hotel. So glad we did. It was truly relaxing. Robes, slippers, pool, hot tub and fresh coffee. Dinner at the The Machine Shed next door was delicious. Huge portions, plus u get bread, cottage cheese and Cole slaw. We ate breakfast at the hotel, yes it was 9.95. Well worth it. Fresh fruit, real eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, cinnamon rolls, and to die for scones that were soft. My coffee cup was never empty. Thank you CHEF Paul for a fabulous start to my vacation

This hotel was beautiful!! Convenient location, great customer service, nice rooms and comfortable beds. This hotel really feels like a little resort tucked away in Iowa!
My only complaint was the noise level. The evening was very peaceful but we were disappointed at how many times we were woken up to noise in the morning. Walls seem to be thin so the first time we woke up was to other guests talking in the hallway outside our room. We woke up a couple other times to maids shouting to each other while cleaning rooms and then again to someone (not sure if she was hotel staff or not) talking loudly

Came here last week for the May/June unveiling of DSM magazine and was pleasantly surprised.
The ambiance here is very modern, shabby chic. It is not your typical chain motel, but rather with a variety of room layouts. The first floor rooms have walk out patios to sit outside and enjoy a nice day. There are also larger loft suites with the sleeping area upstairs. Furniture is very modern and the bathrooms are huge!
The common areas are large and flow nicely. This would be a great place to host a special occasion and on my visit the staff were more than eager to show us around the property and
