Mia is exceptional. She is an outstanding photographer, and a pleasure to work with. I first met Mia when I participated in her Visibility project. I later hired Mia to take photographs at our multimedia performance. Mia produced gorgeous images - breathtaking, intimate, intense, arty, just fantastic. She was wonderful to work with - patient, passionate, and accommodating. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I worked with Mia on some editorial photo projects and she was professional and creative. She has an excellent grasp of project management and the big picture while also keeping an eye towards the little details. She is reliable and a go-getter, and I'm very pleased with the photos she took. She is also deeply committed to -- and passionate about -- social justice, which is evident in the kinds of projects she chooses to take on. I would definitely hire Mia again.

Not only is mia nakano extremely talented at what she does, she is super passionate and deeply committed to social justice and it shows in her work. she has a real eye for beauty in unexpected places and an ability to capture even the most ordinary moments in a powerful way. she's done several projects for me as a musician, recording/editing videos for my website. one of my favorites was one that she did just using her iphone. i was blown away by the finished product. mia is versatile, creative, and an absolute joy to work with. i'm a huge fan!

I worked with Mia on the resign and transfer of our company website. The project had many moving parts, including an e-commerce component. Mia was endlessly patient and helpful. Highly organized herself, she helped us organize our thoughts and preferences and delivered tutorials so that we could update the site ourselves easily. Mia also lent her considerable photography skills to the project and gave great ideas to market the site better. We are thrilled with the final product.
