Wonderful atmosphere! Remodeling turned out nice. You can smoke, drink, great entertainment, and lots of fun ! I haven't won any jackpots at Mahnomen for years....decided to go to Dakota Magic the last couple weeks, and already hit a couple. I'm going to Dakota Magic from now on. Thanks Dakota Magic!!!

My biggest problem was the smell. I didn't stay in the hotel. I was disappointed when I heard they canceled poker. But what can you do.

The hotel room was not very clean. The rooms certainly saw their glory days 15-20 years ago. The worst part is the cigarette smoke. The smoke from the casino enters the corridor to the rooms, permeates the rooms and although you can get a 'non smoking' room, it is quite bad. Because of this, my non smoking room had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. Very difficult to breathe at nights when trying to go to sleep. If you have issues with cigarette smoke, I would not recommend. Service was mediocre. Not sure they really cared about their customers, quite frankly.

As a smoker I don't typically want hotel room that allows smoking. Mine was not and not sure that they do that. The casino floor allows it. I'm perfectly OK with that. The restaurants on scene were fantastic! The service was amazing. And everything was clean! I had an amazing 3 day weekend there and I didn't even win big. Broke even. Wife and I have been talking about making it trip yearly as nothing g that's much closer is even close to the service we were provided.

Where is the Magic, you see the ad's on TV. You make the trip to get here, could have drove locale. So much smoke like trying to enjoy, like playing in steel mill. Recommend to wear masks, you can purchase for $1.00 got to make every dollar possible. Where is all the great food advertised on TV not here. Snack bar with mediocre food. Server very kind and helpful that's reason for one star. The rest of staff act like don't want to be there. One 🏧 machine for casino and were working on. No Magic here!!!

I love standing in line for the only machine that gives me money. The ATM! The reason for standing in line? Every time I come here only 1 ATM works. For real. As far as games go it sure is exciting to finally get into any bonus game on any machine after spending $60+ to win, and wait for it.........Almost $10. So exciting! Feel the magic!

I do like the new layout of the casino which is why I gave them 4 stars. It's much easier to gamble on your favorite machines. We usually go on Sunday morning and do pretty well. If I can gamble with their money, it's a win for me. For the first time we tried the buffet. I have to admit, it was 20.00 and not very good. They need better cooks. I did like the salad bar though. Loosen up the machines a bit and you'll have more people there. You should never win 12 cents on a 60 cent bet.

This was the grossest place I have ever been. The buffet for $26 was absolutely nasty. Gross food, dry, and sick. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy here. The bathroom was disgusting. I never write poor reviews but this place literally deserves a negative 5 stars. Casinos typically have a nice buffet, a nice restaurant and clean bathrooms. This had none of it. The only reason we came here was because it was close to the ranch we are staying at. My recommendation is to avoid this place. McDonald's would have been better.

The hotel is worth 4 stars. The room was clean and everything worked properly. The 2 queen room was plenty big enough for the 4 of us to spread out. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.
The Surf and Turf buffet was terrible for selection. The steak was tough, even for coming out of the water it was sitting in. The shrimp was decent but was the only Surf choice available. Everyone liked the stuffing, potatoes and carrots. To call this buffet Surf and Turf buffet is a lie.
Now to the casino... Most of the employees were very rude and not helpful. There was a power
