The Crystal Marquis Banquet Room'sdeep burgundy draperies frame tall multi-paned windows, and light filtering in makes the oak parquet dance floor gleam. Original art deco wall sconces grace the walls, and on either side of the drapery valances are bronze deco bas reliefs. There's a small stage for a band or DJ at one end of the room, and a mahogany marble-topped bar at the other.
Behind the bar, an arched mirror reflects light from the brilliant chandeliers. Ficus trees laced with twinkle lights provide both greenery and sparkle. An arch is available for ceremonies, and several white lattice partitions can be moved anywhere to act as a backdrop for cake or gift table. If the bride or groom needs a private moment before the event, a sitting room off to one side of the ballroom is available.

First off let me say that I absolutely LOOOVEEE all 3 staff that work here. Art. Nikki, and Lesly are truly amazing people and are helping me in making the best night of my life while in their hall. I had to do last minute hall findings because my wedding is going to land during a day where it's going to be raining all week and couldnt manage to go through with the backyard party I planned and this place was the only REASONABLE pricing falling under my budget and aside from the pricing the staff here truly make it known that they truly care to help me out in all coordinations of the wedding

This place is amazIng! I planned my daughter's 18th birthday 6 months ahead. Lesly & team helped me along the way. They were very accommodating & made sure that our needs were met. I've never planned a big event like this & they held my hand throughout the planning stage. The price was also reasonable, food, plating, decors, set up, clean up are all included. The Crystal Marquis is a very beautiful venue, it has a 1920's Gatsby feel to it. It's an excellent venue for any event really but i think a dark color formal event is perfect for this place. 5/5 for the venue. The team behind the night, which includes the wait staff/ servers/ security are the key behind this establishments success. They're direction is nothing short of exceptional. I had contacted venue confirmed and awaited contract. Through this process I was the one following up constantly to assure I would not lose location due to someone else booking. I continued to get reassurance I would not lose my date I was on the calendar. I followed up with staff however no contract ever sent. Just this week I get a call venue has been booked they apologize. Very unprofessional especially after the reassurance from staff now I am unable to find another venue within my time frame. Disappointing.

If your looking for a venue with an Oldskool Uptown Whittier feeling then The Crystal Marquis is the place to enjoy your event, Wedding Reception, Quinceanera/Sweet 16, Holiday party, e.t.c. Beautiful, classy & romantic venue.. but the true gem here is Art & his team! Art went above and beyond to make my mother's 70th birthday celebration an unforgettable experience!! He was detail-oriented and catered to our every need! He did an outstanding job mc-ing the event...a natural indeed!! He even gave the guests special lingo from the 60s to get us into the spirit of the theme. His customer service is unmatched! Can't wait for the next occasion to book the Crystal Marquis. Words cannot describe how great our evening was. All we want is to have a repeat of this evening. It was amazing what Leslie and Nikki were able to do for us. Art made us feel like we were family and made us feel like we were going to be taken care of. The food was amazing, the service was great, my beer mug was always full. A very nice place for bd, office, wedding party etc. I just had my retirement party there and I was very happy with everything. The prices are very reasonable; bartender and servers are professional and friendly. The owners (father & son) run the business; are super helpful and stay with you through the entire event to make sure everything goes well. Make sure you get to meet them first, wonderful people.

Attended a birthday celebration for our niece. Food, service, decor, room size, floor plan were great. However the drawback lays in the age of the building. There's a non operating elevator in the building. The entertaining room is on the 2nd floor with one very small restroom for a room full of people. It is NOT ADA compliant. There's another bathroom 3 floors down and remember NO elevator. They do offer a chair lift for only to and from the ground floor entrance. Nothing is offered to the lower bathroom. The

We just had our 20th Wedding Renewal and Reception last week. What can I say everything went amazing. My husband said it exceeded our expectations!!! The staff was amazing and felt like family from day 1 of planning. Gonna miss working with them. Nikki, Leslie and Art Jr and Art Sr. are so personal that it made everything so much easier. My stress was never with the staff or venue . Family maybe!!! The food was great my guest complimented on how delicious it all was. We had our wedding reception here at Crystal Marquis in April. My husband and I fell in love with this place. Not only because of the venue, but because of the wonderful hospitality we received from Art, Nikki, Leslie and the wonderful staff. Our guests loved the food and days after the wedding, multiple guests made comments on how nice the staff was. They took care of everything and everyone for us. I would love to hold another special event here one day.

Art Jr and Nikki were truly amazing! They were extremely accommodating and patient with me (bride) I would without a doubt recommend CM to all my friends and family. Just how I pictured everything that's exactly how it was. Their pricing is reasonable. My guest had a great experience and kept saying how good the food was. Art Jr was also my MC and I am glad I made that choice he was AMAZING! I love how they paid attention to everything I wanted and that's what I had.

We had a celebration of life here and could not have been happier with the way it turned out! Fortunately, they had a cancellation for a Saturday and we were able to get in. We planned for 125 but about 210 people showed up. The staff was amazing! They set up 6 additional tables and brought out extra chairs for the tables that were already out quickly which allowed most of the guests a seat. Every member of the staff was professional and helpful. As difficult as the day was, we did not have to worry about anything related to this venue. Thank you to all at the Crystal Marquis for a beautiful venue

I had my wedding reception at the Crystal Marquis in December 2016 and the whole staff was amazing. We booked the venue one year ahead. They are very busy in December as they have holiday parties on top of other events. Art, Art Junior and Nikki along with Leslie were just of so much help. They are a dependable staff and on the day of the reception, they took care of all the details.
The only "con" I can think of was the communication during the period of engagement through email as I didn't get responses. We took care of details with phone tagging and visiting the location

This place is gorgeous, the people are perfect. We were so overwhelmed with how great everything turned out. We enjoyed every minute of our wedding. The timeline was perfect, Art, Nikki; Lindsey and the rest of the staff made us feel like family as oppose to just another client who consumed their Friday evening.

They are closed Sunday/Monday unless there is an event. Leaving a message on the answering machine was almost always pointless

Tons of parking with direct access to the hall.
There's plenty of room for dancing, dining and drinking. Their staff work very quickly and always with a smile.
The decor is classic and very luxurious. You feel like you're in an elegant yet historic part of town.
The bar is huge and the bar service is quick.
Food was great and served quickly as well.
There's a separate room from the main floor that is great for a photo booth which is what it was used for.

We had a Celebration of Life party for our dad's passing and I couldn't have been more happy and impressed. Art went above and beyond. He was easy to work with, his attention to detail was unparalleled, and I was blown away by the beauty of the room. Every thing was kept on schedule @nd if he wasn't sure about something he aaked. The food was awesome. We are vegan and they made great food our us and everyone else. I would definitely have another event here. Thank you Art. You'll never know how much I appreciate your hard work.
