A-Star Staffing

A-Star was an excellent staffing agency to work with. Super quick turn around, and always had my best interests at heart. I personally worked with Diana. I would strongly recommend using A-Star to anyone looking to go through a staffing agency to embark on their career goals.

I needed a change of scenery after dealing with COVID struggles in the hospitality business. Went job-hunting on Indeed and got in touch with Amanda Andrade. She provided helpful tips on my resume and after interviewing with her she was able to help get me a temp position at an insurance company. That has now turned into a full-time position that has the environment and compensation I've been seeking. Amanda was so thoughtful every step of the way and I could tell her recommendation was a big part of what got my foot in the door. Kudos also to Melinda who did a great job answering my questions

As I was wrapping up my Paralegal Certification, I began working with Amanda from A-star. She was able to quickly find time to meet with me and find me employment. Everyone I communicated with at A-Star has been great from the beginning to end, especially Amanda. I was originally placed in a Temp-hire position with a great company but ultimately I ended up not feeling like it was the right fit for me, Amanda was great through that process, and did not stop working with me because of it. I have just started working with A-Star and they are so awesome! Especially Amanda! The whole staff is nice and accommodating. I had to take a pause in my job search due to a month long trip, but the whole time before I notified Amanda, she always kept in touch& kept me up to date with any and all offers within my boundaries& expected pay rates. With my experience, A-Star had multiple offers every time I was emailed too, I'd say about 3-4/month.

I want to praise A-Star staffing for such great service! I have been trying to get in phone contact with a recruiter from this staffing agency for three weeks now...have batted zero conversations with a staffing specialist as of today (3/12/18).

Emails from A-Star staffing received after my follow up emails and phone calls to them state that they will let the placement staff know that I am very interested in getting the process moving forward. I have yet to receive a phone call. VERY discouraging and disparaging considering all of the positive YELP reviews for them.

To start, I have to say that A-Star staffing is a great agency to find a job that's the right fit for you. They match you with prospective assignments based on your education, skill-set, interests, and preferred career path. I highly recommend finding temp employment through A-Star because for 1, short-term temporary assignments give you the opportunity to explore different positions and companies without committing to a permanent position straight away, and 2, A-star temporary assignments are a great way to get your "in" with great companies that recognize and reward hard work.

I've worked with everyone at A-Star Staffing and everyone at A-Star is AMAZING! They strive to find you work for companies that are aligned not only in terms of skill, education, and experience; But they also align you based on how you like to work and preferred office environment and setting. They really listen, analyze, and place you in companies and job styles that would be a perfect fit for you personally.

I NEVER write reviews, but this one deserves one! A - Star is by far the best staffing agency in San Diego. Not only was Diana able to staff me within 2 weeks of meeting, but she was able to match me perfectly to my dream company. I'm grateful to her and her team. If you need a company to care and really put thought into what works best for you, give A-Star a chance.
