We are one of the kind pre school that combines both Montessori and Reggio-Emlila inspired Emergent Philosophies in the core unique curriculum - a truly new concept in preschool education. Passionate followers of both learning styles, we at Happy Minds Montessori believe that exposing children to both the Montessori and Reggio-Emilia inspired Emergent methods enables them the opportunity to best absorb what's needed for their personal growth and development. We focus on the process of learning, rather than the product.
Services
Happy Minds Montessori is dedicated and committed to our children by providing exceptional education and quality care. It is our philosophy to focus on the needs of the individual child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. It is our belief that a preschool facility should be an extension of each child's family.
At Happy Minds Montessori we strive to provide a clean, safe and educational environment for young children. Within our school, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.
Outside of your family, your child's teachers and caregivers are the most important people in their life. As such, we place the highest value in carefully selecting and vetting each and every member of our staff. We require on-going training for our staff through State classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field.
The Infant Curriculum focuses on fostering basic trust in the child. Foremost in the environment is the teacher whose caring, respectful response to your infant's needs, both physical and psychological, conveys the message of unconditional love and acceptance. Elements of the Happy Minds Montessori program are incorporated into the children's environment for the purpose of exposing the younger children to typical Montessori materials.
The Montessori Toddler environment is carefully prepared to aid the toddler in achieving independence. Children who are now comfortably walking leave the nest and move to a space that fits their growing physical needs. There is an observation area for teachers, minimal furniture, warm flooring, maximum natural life, selected art placed low on the walls, and defined spaces to challenge the coordination of movement.

We have been using Happy Minds Montessori for the last 3 years and all 3 of our kids attend. We have been beyond thrilled with them! All of our kids love attending and the preschool Montessori curriculum is excellent. Our daughter has really come out of her shell and is so independent now! We cannot rave enough about the loving teachers that have been with all of our kids.

Do not send your kids here. Urvi has no clue what she is doing- this is a family owned facility that hired her because she is related to them. They know nothing about breastmilk. My son didn’t have a crib or cubby. They didn’t make me lable his breastmilk bottles- they definitely don’t follow health guidelines for breastmilk. They sit the bottles on a windowsill directly in the sun. The fingerprinting to get into the building to pick up your child often didn’t work. You couldn’t pay online- instead you had to tell Urvi each week how you wanted to pay and give her your credit card numbers

Our daughter went here for a few months in 2018. I absolutely do not recommend. They followed unsafe infant practices, such as bottle propping (against state code before 6 months to even let an infant feed unattended) and placing extraneous items in the crib, ie. burp cloth. None which seemed to bother the teachers or management when informed. I did not feel safe having my child here and as soon as I could get off a waiting list and into another school, I pulled her. I also do not feel many of the staff is fully trained and qualified in early childhood education or Montessori. I've heard many recent

I’ve had my almost 1-year old child in the infant room at Happy Minds for 6 months and have been very happy with the care and staff. The teachers Anne and Rachel are attentive, and I see SO much joy when they interact with my child! When I receive daily reports, the teachers have documented my child’s mood, food/bottle intake, and shared special observations they’ve made during the day—it is exceptionally personalized!

This place is awful. They don't even have a changing table for the children that are not potty trained. The children over the age of 3 have no access to toys. At the tender age of three years old all class rooms are stripped of any and all toys. Anything that seems at all fun and interesting to a child is removed from the rooms, I know that it is part of the Montessori process but the rooms are devoid of any of the developmentally appropriate areas a keystone stars or even not a keystone stars classroom would have i.e dramatic play areas, constructive play areas, opportunities for sensory play

Friendly staff and very clean -- indoor and outdoor spaces to play! My 9 month old son attends the infant daycare. Jamie and the entire staff make you feel very comfortable and they genuinely care about each child. It's fairly priced and they don't just sit the kids in front of the TV. The Montessori structure for learning and growing is next to none!

I love that we have a preschool this close to me that is based on the Maria Montessori extensive research with children and characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development. It lets our kids explore, manipulate and work on purposeful activities. Which helps children in every stage of development. The inside of the school is designed in a great way. Any child that gets the opportunity to attend this school will have great benefits from the very beginning and in the long run.
