Our mission is to provide a quality dance education in a safe friendly environment. Where we teach more than dance technique, we enrich each dancer by teaching respect, dedication, discipline, self-confidence and a love for the art of dance. We invite dancers of all ages and skill levels to join our dance family as we build confidence and dance for Joy.
I started dancing at The Joy of Dancing when I was 4 years old. I grew up at the studio and started working the front desk when I was just 13. When I was in high school I started working as a teaching assistant. At 17 I taught my first class, Mini Motion, for 3-year-old's. By the time I was 20, I was teaching 20 classes a week and attending college.

You have to try the Island Groove dance class! The atmosphere is amazing! The teacher is such a fun spirit! And it's just a fun experience overall. You forget you're working out and feel like you're at a dancehall. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to dance and groove and also loves to work out. It's a little pricey at $16 a class unless you get the package for multiple classes at $14 each but totally worth it.

When register the first time, this school charges you two months fee: the upcoming month plus the summer semester which is one year later, and you can't withdraw the summer class no matter what. So you are signed up with some class next year and couldn't get away with it. For the recital, if your kid is big enough to perform in the theater, they will require each family to purchase at least 4 tickets($100), even if you don't bring that many people. And they are really good at making every opportunity to sell you more, like the dress of the recital(you have to rent), the picture week, the 10+ different
