First Tooth is your local children's dental office located in north Del Mar, near Solana Beach and Rancho Santa Fe. It is the private dental practice of Dr. Nicholas Jize, or as he is known by his patients, Dr. Nick. First Tooth is the private pediatric dental practice of Dr. Nicholas Jize or as the patients call him Dr. Nick. The office is conveniently located in the Cornerstone Business Center in Del Mar, San Diego, California. At First Tooth our goal is simple provide quality care in a comfortable environment.
Fluoride works on a molecular level to strengthen tooth enamel, making teeth better equipped to stand up against the harsh. Stainless Steel Crowns commonly referred to as SSCs are the standard of care when tooth decay becomes. Space Maintenance Baby teeth are important because they hold the space for the permanent teeth.

Hands down the best Pediatric Dentist in town. After having a very traumatic experience with another pediatric dentist, my son was afraid to go to the dentist. Dr Nick has changed our lives! Dr Nick and his dental assistant Jasmine have won the hearts of my son as well as his twin brother. He is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and truly just enjoys working with kids. The office is just as awesome! You can tell it's been decorated with lots of love and care. Not only were Dr. Nick & Jasmine amazing with my four year old, but Dr. Nick spent so much time educating me so that I could be empowered to make the best choices for my daughter’s dental health. Dr. Nick is such a calming and kind person that both my daughter and I felt extremely comfortable and actually enjoyed our visit. Dr. Nick is incredible. My kids have been going to him for cleanings, and he does such a good job! His office is clean, kid friendly and rather relaxing! We recently had my 5 year old daughter’s cavities filled. We were both anxious, and stressed about the procedure. It went so well! He and Jasmine were so patient and comforting. My daughter was relaxed, and able to do all the cavities at once! I’m very impressed, and would recommend Dr. Nick to every single person I know with kids!

We've had excellent and trustworthy advice from Dr. Nick. He's easygoing, no problems, all his staff are kind and sweet.
I trusted Dr. Nick for the last 2 years with my kids and have been very happy. Both my kids like him and his staff. I heard from my neighbor who has two older girls that he's been their dentist for a long time and they loved him too. He's just a relaxed guy who is a Dad of young kids himself. Very chill.

This was my daughter's first time getting work done and the doctor and his team did an excellent job. As a parent you want to feel comfortable and know that your kids are safe and treated with the most care and this place did just that. Doctor Nick and the team explained everything step by step, very patient, and friendly. Facility is super kid friendly my kids love it, they watched a movie while getting work done and were comfortable throughout the whole time. Work looked incredible too, clearly Dr. Nick knows what he is doing. My kids have more work to get done and I am happy my family

I brought our 4 year old son in today for a checkup and I was very pleased with the great lenghts the office took for maintaining a clean and safe environment during the pandemic. Dr. Nick and his team have been our son's dentist for 2 years and every time we visit, he makes our son very comfortable and occupied during the check up. The level of cleanliness was second to none and the staff take every measure to ensure a safe visit, including 2 air purifiers, masks and face shields and sanitizers. The tvs on the ceiling and electric train were a nice touch. I would encourage anyone with a child

We love Dr. Nick. He is patient and caring with Amelia. He takes the time to explain and we never feel rushed out. I would highly recommend this clinic. Both my kids will go here as long as they can. My 18 month old just LOVED the office and Dr Nick. She sat in the chair all by herself and let him brush her teeth, floss and do fluoride. (Sorry Dr. Nick she bites) she loved Nemo on the TVs through out the office and all the colors and decorations. It’s a very very clean and kid friendly office. I would 100% recommend Dr Nick and First Tooth Pediatric Dentistry to anyone with kids! I wish I could go there 😀 Thanks Dr Nick.. Piper and I will see you in 6 months!

If you've got a concerned little first timer this is the place to go! Dr. Nick is amazingly patient and talented. My boy was terrified just by the chair leaning back and the mask on his face lol but he and his staff managed to calm him down and persist in getting the work done.
Dr. Nick's level of patience and communicative skills astonished me. His work was as careful and thorough as it gets.
In the end, my boy said it was a good day! He didn't feel any pain the day they removed his tooth nor the next 2 days. His spacer doesn't bother him at all. He never even used ibuprofen

Dr Nick is an incredibly patient and kind dentist! I would know since I've had to take my 7 year old to several over the past years. She can be fearful and uncooperative but he handled it like a true professional unlike the last dentist who asked us not to return because she kept biting accidentally. He is thorough and has made some great suggestions in keeping her teeth healthy. He recently checked my three year old and he left the office saying "I really like Dr Nick." Both of my kids are happy to go to the office which has amazing LEGO displays, IPads and all the current movies

We are happy to find doctor Nicholas for our 5yo. To our surprise, he was able to do all the dental work to kid without general anesthesia. Something what other dentist believed is not . His staff and office are great too.

Wonderful experience for my kids. Office is very clean, has with games on Ipads and movies to watch and prizes for afterwards. Both the Dr. and assistant made sure my kids were comfortable and had very good experiences which was most important to me.
They also seem to accept all insurances. Can't say enough good things about him, highly recommend!!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We didn't have to wait to be seen, which was great. Before the kids got started they showed us around so the kids would be comfortable. The dentist usually isn't a fun experience for kids but after we left my girls had such a great time, they asked to come back tomorrow. We will keep the kids going to this dentist. We just loved the office and nice dentist and hygienist/assistant.

We are so glad that we made the right decision switching to First Tooth. My son is 5 and half years old and his last dentist wanted to put him to "sleep" so that she can fix all 6 cavities at one time. We refused that and luckily we found Dr. Nick.
Dr. Nick is very professional and super nice to the kids. Instead of putting the little boy to "sleep", he used "laughing gas" and got all the job done beautifully! While fixing the cavities, Dr.Nick explained to my son what he was doing and encouraged him all the time. My son calms

Ok this review is long over due and important for any sandwich, Gen X parent. My daughter has a daughter, yes I claim the title "Glama" proudly. However this story begins with recently having to do 7 crowns on my elderly father with Alzheimer's. His caregivers were not well versed with his dental hygiene and even though he forgets many things, he finds his way to the chocolate. Dr. Nick has clean, kid-friendly, and welcoming office. I checked it out the other day based on my dentist's recommendation for a good pediatric dentist in town. The dentist is a very nice guy, and his staff is friendly and welcoming. They even gave me a tour of the office. I know my kids will be happy coming here. 5 stars on my first visit to the office.
