Services
Our relationships with the Federal Government and State of Alaska have span decades, and we value those successful partnerships. For federal contracting, we hold a GSA contract and work primarily under the NAICS code 541620 Environmental Consulting Services, but we also contract under the NAICS code 541370GIS Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services.
ABR has its roots in Alaska and in working with Alaska Native communities to address local conservation and environmental issues. We provide services including wetland determinations and mapping, as well as other scientific services in support of permitting for oil and gas exploration on and near tribal lands.
ABR has effectively served oil and gas industry clients in Alaska since 1979. Our scientific and permitting support teams have performed on virtually every major development on Alaska's North Slope. We typically work collaboratively with all stakeholders on a project, from oil and gas industry representatives to state, federal, and municipal resource agencies and Alaska Native communities.
ABR has assisted with wildlife issues for the renewable energy industries since the 1980s, and we are recognized leaders in this sector. Our broad range of experience in support of wind, solar, and hydropower energy generation projects, and associated infrastructure, enables us to anticipate wildlife-energy conflicts and design effective impact solutions.
ABR has provided environmental and permitting support for transportation projects for over 30 years. We are routinely contracted to collect baseline biological data for road, highway, and airport projects in Alaska. We have done only a small amount of work on rail projects and are seeking to expand our services for that sector.
