Richard Rozumowicz, President and Principal of Area West Engineers, Inc. is a California licensed, civil engineer authorized to practice land surveying. Mr. Rozumowicz has over 30 years of professional experience providing civil engineering, environmental engineering, surveying and construction management services to both the private and public sectors including residential, institutional, commercial, industrial, and capital improvement projects.
The Auburn Ravine Fish Passage Improvement project entailed construction of a fish ladder to enhance Chinook salmon and steelhead trout passage over the Nevada Irrigation District's stream gaging structure located in the Lincoln Crossing Nature Preserve, 1,000 feet downstream of Highway 65 in Lincoln.
Hydraulic analysis - closed conduit systems, surface flow, flood storage, high water elevation, channel flow behavior. Road design - horizontal geometry and vertical profile to meet CAL-TRANS and local standards. Street light design - Street light layout, conduit / conductor design, voltage drop calculations.
Control Surveys - Horizontal and vertical, including Project Control Surveys and aerial mapping control surveys. Survey Data Formatting - Formatting topography, cross-sections, and other work to be performed by construction contractors. When purchasing a new home, come the eleventh hour, you may find out that you need flood insurance, and part of that process will be to hire a surveyor to have an Elevation Certificate completed on your behalf.
