My company, Preserving with Purpose had the opportunity to come in and interview several of the residents at collinwood to provide a legacy gift to families. First, what an incredible facility to create a lasting keepsake for families. Second when I asked each resident about their time living at Collinwood- for my own interest, each described it as “home”. When your looking for a place to have your loved one live you want them to feel at home. You can trust in that at Collinwood!

I took a tour and had lunch at Collinwood two days ago. It is pleasant and clean. The grounds and views are beautiful. The online photos don't do justice to the mountain views throughout the facility, especially from the dining hall with its grand high ceiling and abundant large picture windows. The Chicken Cacciatore meal was tasty and flavorful. It was served by eager-to-please staff members. I like the flexibility of residents being able to get served meals throughout the day.
The residents' rooms that I saw varied from room-to-room. Some had wood beams and vaulted ceilings and interesting

I've been employed by Collinwood for more than a year now, and worked in the building for 2+ years. I feel very supported by the Executive Director, and team here. I feel so blessed, all of the residents and families are wonderful. We work together as a team to support everyone here!! We are all looking forward to 2017!

If the resident is in good overall shape, Collinwood is probably a good place for them. The facility is beautiful, the food is decent (although a little like what kids eat), and there are activities to join.
Unfortunately, I can not in good faith recommend Collinwood for residents needing extra attention/concern, as was the case for my family's experience. Do not expect notification if meds are missed or ordered changes are not fulfilled, even when this regularly results in issues for both the facility and for the family.

The worst mistake of my life was entrusting Mother to the care of Director Jacoby at Collinwood. While the facility is nice enough to look at, a few of the seriously overworked employees are making near heroic efforts to take care of some of the residents, and apparently the director (Director Kristin Jacoby) is good at making her management happy (by making them as much money as possible, including spending as absolutely little as possible on the residents), when it came to giving residents like my mother an optimal quality of life, Directory Jacoby failed miserably. Mother deserved better than
