Our doctors have more than 125 years experience combined as they provide both general optometry and specialized care. Center for Sight has four ophthalmologists and four optometrists, a team that gives you many options and advantages in solving eyesight issues for yourself and your family.
If your doctor suspects that you may be suffering from cataracts, they will generally take a detailed medical history, including your family history and some tests. Macular degeneration is the most prevalent form of irreversible central vision loss in older adults. While certain rare forms of the disease can occur early in life, the majority of cases only begin to develop around the age of 50.

Dr. Robert Harbour, a former medical school professor, joined the Center for Sight in 1988. Dr. Harbour's specialties include cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, LASIK vision correction and neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. G. Tipton McKnight is a board-certified ophthalmologist whose academic background includes fellowships at the University of Utah and the University of South Florida.
Dr. Jones is a board certified, fellowship trained ophthalmologist who specializes in oculoplastic surgery, including functional, cosmetic and reconstructive procedures on the eyelids, eyebrow and facial skin. Additionally, he performs general ophthalmology exams, glaucoma treatment and cataract surgery.

Dr. Richardson and Dr. McKnight have taken excellent care of me from regular exams to lense replacement. The office staff is always friendly & helpful. The facility is spacious, clean, & orderly. I've never had billing issues here like I did at a different eye doctor in Gulf Breeze proper. I won't go anywhere else for eye care.

My relationship with CFS started very rocky. I attempted several times schedule a consultation through the online website. It appears that the online scheduler for LASIK doesn't connect very well with the actual coordinator for the procedure. After finally getting in, the consultation went well. How I qualified for the procedure was explained very well! I went back the next week to meet with the doctor doing my exam to get dilated and confirm my prescription. I usually give a 5 Star rating here, but the waiting is painful for me, especially if over an hour to see the Doctor. It would be greatly appreciated if this problem could be rectified and our waiting time cut to 30 minutes.
Today, I waited 4 hours!
Suggestion, maybe we could be given assigned numbers (like at restaurants!) and we patients could come back to the office when it is our turn to be seen. This would alleviate grumbling about wasting our time just sitting there, and we could get shopping done!!

WARNING: DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. Not friendly, don't buy glasses unless you want to pay a higher price. My insurance had a no co-pay on my frames/ lens. They wanted to charge me over $100 for my glasses. Out of the blue Denise tells us she doesn't make any money. Never ask that question. They failed to tell you why the charge. They use expensive lens material. BUY BEWARE!!!!!!! They don't deserve even 1 Star

I'm giving this business three starts because I like my optometrist, Dr. Michael Richardson, very much. I get confused during eye exams and often have to ask him to repeat steps or try another lens. He is very kind and patient with me. I have zero complaints about his care. As for the business, I'd give it zero stars if I could. The employees are unfriendly and unhelpful, and they rush you out of there if it's getting near their lunch time. Also, their glasses are ridiculously expensive. I mean, reediculous.
