The company's owner Dan Hawkes started out many years ago sanding bowling lanes with his grandfather. Dan feels that he was blessed at a very young age to have had the opportunity of working side by side with his grandfather for many years, learning not only the process of refinishing the lanes and floors, but also taking pride in his work and providing excellent service to his customers.
As the years have progressed so have we at Tru-Line, meeting the high expectations of our clientele. For years now we have been resurfacing and installing natural and pre-finished hardwood floors in the Mohawk valley and the surrounding areas. We have since, purchased a dust containment system for resurfacing both new and previously installed floors.

Dan and his staff are “TRU” professionals! They are honest, knowledgeable, and know their craft! I recently had 2 rooms refinished. I would recommend this business to anyone – and I have! I would not trust anyone else to do this work. They are meticulous about their work and treat you with respect. I have never seen an outfit so clean and so precise about their work. We had Tru-Line come out to replace a stained old carpet in our living room with wood flooring and also to blend the new floor into the wood we already had in our entryway and dining room. It came out perfectly! Everyone who has seen the work guessed we just had it all replaced with a new wood floor. We couldn't be happier with how this turned out. Aside from the amazing floors, the guys working on the job we're on time every day, polite and professional. It was a pleasure having them in our home. Absolutely would recommend them!
