We currently offer three different dock piling protection products that are ideal for the repair and installation of long-lasting dock pilings. Our high-quality EcoPile, Durosleeve, SnapJacket products are made of PVC and offer unparalleled results when compared with competing products. The Ecopile is a patent-pending vinyl-fiberglass composite marine piling engineered and designed by and for the marine contracting industry. Shoreline Plastics, the manufacturer of the Ecopile, recognizes the growing environmental resistance to pressure treated timber in our waterways as well as the shortening lifespan of newer timber pilings in the marine environment due to marine boring organisms.
The industry standard to protect new marine piles is to wrap them with a thin black plastic wrap and nail it on. In theory, this would cut off the flow of water into the pole, which would keep all marine organisms from ever having a chance to attack the timber. If done properly, this black wrap can buy you a few extra years.
The SnapJacket is the toughest and longest lasting option to preserve or repair aging marine piling. The SnapJacket's design makes it very easy to install, keeping dock repair costs to a minimum. By opening up and easily locking back together, using the SnapJacket does not require you to disassemble any portion of the structure built on top of the piles.
