Magic Mender, founded in 1975, is family operated and has been in business for 45 years. We started our business in Southern California.in the city of Orange to be exact, not far from Disneyland. We're now located in Smith River, a small town on the beautiful Northern California coast. I'm Cindee Nelson the owner of Magic Mender.
My introduction into the leather and vinyl repair industry began in 1975 at the age of 20. The summer before my Senior year in high school, I worked for an auto parts store, so I was aware that there were spray cans of vinyl dye available. Sometime after that, I purchased a dark brown car with a black interior but I didn't like that color combination so I thought, "why not change the color of the entire inside using that spray-on vinyl dye?".

Ready-mixed and ready to apply. Will not crack, peel, flake or rub off on clothing. Color Flex is a specially formulated, water-based finish that dries quickly, looks and feels like the original surface; just like the new finish coatings that furniture, clothing and automotive manufacturers use on their leather.
Repair cuts, scratches, pet damage, tears, holes, creased or cracked leather, works on vinyl too. It spreads like soft margarine. It dries naturally, or drying time can be accelerated by using a blow dryer. When dry, it permanently adheres to leather and vinyl. Our repair compound is extremely durable and remains soft and flexible, giving your repair the natural feel and appearance of the original surface.
Clear Coat is a specially formulated, water based clear finish that dries quickly and feels like the original surface. It's used to change the sheen of our Color Flex which has a "satin" finish. You can also use Clear Coat as a protectant if you want added durability without adding more color to the surface.
