My goal has always to be a one-stop shop for all my clients' beauty and facial needs. I am a certified family nurse practitioner and esthetician with 20 years experience in the aesthetic industry. I started my career as a makeup artist and esthetician, became a registered nurse and then an aesthetic family nurse practitioner.
ALL MICRONEEDLING SERVICES- I LOVE microneedling and it is my specialty! Be treated by an experienced nurse practitioner that is committed to your safety and results. Appointment begins with pictures, so arrive with no makeup. We apply numbing cream, and while numbing, we will complete a skin health questionnaire, consent & homecare before starting treatment.

Why no reviews before 2010?!?! Because Yelp and Google didn't really start to see growth until 2009. I started Miss Karen Skincare in 2004 during the day of check writing, before smart phones and websites! Read the old school below that I dug up from an old hard drive when I was working in Hollywood and Beverly Hills as a 90210 nurse and esthetician.

Nurse Karen is awesome! Had my first microneedle session with her in September last year and then kept coming back for more. One year later, and my skin has improved immensely (had a bit of acne and sun damage). Nurse Karen is extremely knowledgeable, makes you feel comfortable, thoroughly explains everything, and is just super cool and easy to talk to. As long as she’s in Austin, I honestly don’t see myself going to anybody else for microneedling. She’s a gem!

Obsessed with Karen. She is phenomenal at skin care, customer service, and making sure you leave 1000 percent happy with your service. I don't even tell her what I want -- I just schedule an hour and a half and tell her to work her magic -- that's how much I trust her to do her job. Facials, laser treatments and injectables are usually my go to and she does a combination of both.

If you're thinking about microneedling, botox or fillers, trust Karen. Trust me! I honestly can't say enough positive things about Karen. She has completely transformed my skin! I found her during the peak of the pandemic when my skin was inflamed and angry. My hyperpigmentation was at its worst and it started to affect my self esteem, especially when working from home and not wearing makeup. I've been using Nurse Karen's AHA&BHA Toner & her Clay Mask for a little over 6 months now. In that time I've only had to purchase two bottles of the toner, and three of the travel sizes of the clay mask ($8)! While her prices may seem expensive, they truly do go a long way and my skin has never been happier! I spend less on these two products that have saved my skin, then I did when I used Drunk Elephant and Dior.

Great service! I was very happy with my first-ever micro needling treatment from Karen. She is very knowledgeable about anti-aging products and treatments for the skin. I've been going to Nurse Karen for about two years and she has completely transformed my skin. I first saw her after a case of periorificial dermititis and my sensitive skin was red and angry. She recommended products to repair my skin barrier and within a couple of weeks it had turned around and was even better than before. I first came to Nurse Karen with terrible sun damage from being a dummy about the sun, adult acne and a deep line in my forehead (glabella aka elevens). But after several laser facials, awesome product advice, and the best Botox administration I could ever hope for, my skin is looking the best it has in many years.

Hands down Miss Karen is simply the BEST. I've been to facialists/dermatologists from New York to Beverly Hills and my skin looks the best when I see Karen. I can't say enough great things about Karen! I went to her to have lip filler done and they are absolutely perfect! They look natural, youthful and symmetrical. Even more important, Karen is a Nurse Practitioner with many years of experience and it was obvious that she is a professional who is focused on safety, skill and perfection. I've been seeing Karen for years and I recommend her to all of my friends! She gives the best microdermabrasion facials and I recently started doing microneedling which has amazing results. I wanted to have some type of anti-aging eye treatments done for fine lines and firming, but without Botox or tear trough filler injections. Nurse Karen created an amazing treatment plan of microneedling with radio frequency for skin tightening with PRP & PRF injections to stimulate collagen naturally. Her numbing cream rocks! The microneedling with RF and platelet rich plasma were comfortable, with her great bed side manner, answering all my questions. She made me feel at ease the whole time. Since I started going to Nurse Karen, my skin has never looked better! Her facials and micro needling have given me instant results. She is incredibly knowledgable about wellness from the inside out and concentrates on what you specifically need.
