Hogg is our family name, and we're so happy folks around Central Arkansas have come to associate it with high quality products, fair prices, and terrific service. Hogg's Meat Market opened it's doors in 1963, and we've proudly dedicated three generations to offering up the best possible meats to North Little Rock.

Very few items listed within each package arrive at Hogg's frozen, and the ground beef and breakfast sausage is ground daily. See those porks, roasts, and ribs? Freshly cut, every morning.

When you cater with Hogg's, the artisan touch that has kept our customers coming back since 1963 is apparent on every plate. We'll deliver on outstanding quality and service, while offering an unmatched value - afterall, it's not like we're sourcing the products from somewhere else.
You've probably heard folks saying the same kind of things we have: that meat's no good for a healthy diet, and that you've got to cut back. And thats partially true. See, the trouble isn't (usually) the meat, but in the amount of consumption and in the method of preparation. Beef is not inherently bad for anyone, but your grandparents knew not to eat it at every meal, and how to cook it to maximize nutritional yield.
Now, we will need a little something from you. Your excellent harvest will have to be cleaned and ready to cut before it reaches our doors, but we figure you can do that yourself. We're glad to process the deer whole or quarted, but we ask that you bring the deer in an ice chest if you did go ahead and quarter it.

Bought hot sausage on a Friday morning. It was left over from the day before as there wasn’t even 2 lbs left. Wife went to cook it Sunday and it was spoiled. Mentioned this to the gentleman at the counter and he said it’s always made fresh. I explained to him when I purchased it that I knew better. Didn’t offer to make it right. Customer service still goes along way with me. Typical clueless Arkansas service. WONT GO BACK!!! I have plenty of friends that go there and I going to be sure and spread the word!!!

I was gifted twelve, 6oz, bacon wrapped filets for Christmas and have frequently found that the filets are actually just leftover cuts from the tenderloin that have been formed into a circle and wrapped with bacon to keep their shape and resemble a filet. This is very disappointing for myself and also for the person that gifted these to my family. I would not recommend purchasing their bacon wrapped filets unless you are okay with getting meat that has been pieced together.

I began shopping @ Hogg's Meat Market in 1988 , on May 7, 2021 i encountered the unfortunate, I waited outside for 25-30 min & a additional 25-30 inside, The OWNER, asked the person behind me if she could help him, he insisted 3 times that i was next! She asked me to move forward in the line, i guess i was jus supposed to stand there because everyone else was busy!! I ordered HAMBURGER she continued to have a conversation with the man behind me over my HAMBURGER!!!!!! with no Gloves or mask on!!! Her hair was oily & she didn't look very sanitary!!!! We are in a Cov-19 crisis

I purchased some chili grind meat and after cooking it every bite of my chili had chewy gristle in it. It was horrible. The worst I have ever had. I also bought some beef stew meat and when I got through cutting off the gristle there was not enough left to make stew. Bought 1.26 for $8.18 waste of my time to purchase and TRY to eat either product. Embarrassing they would even sell it.

I called in to place an order ahead for Christmas. Sam was super helpful and patient on the phone. She was just super sweet:
Then, today, when I picked up everything, Sam was super helpful again, helping me to get my twin babies out of the car, into their stroller, and when shopping was done, a young man by name of Patrick (I believe) helped me again to get heavy stuff out, car seats into car, etc. I could not have done my Christmas shopping for meats today if these two young people had not helped me. I keep my grandkids every day, and I get their stroller and car seats in and out every day. But

I ordered 7 filets and I swear they were sirloin. Very gritty and chewy. I called to talk to them about it. I had the pleasure of speaking with Peggy Hogg, who basically called me a liar and and a complainer and then hung up on me. I never complain, unless I have a reason to. She knows nothing about me. If I were her I would have taken the opportunity to try to right the situation but she made no such attempt. I spent $170 there yesterday and I will never go back thanks to Peggy. Poor quality + poor service = out of business.

I use to live in NLR and this was the go to place for meat. And now I come back to visit my daughter ever so often and my mind wonders about is there any of that homemade seafood salad they make sometimes available. Well, last time I was there Thanksgiving, 2016 and dang they didn't have it. But, I'll call back again next time and see if it's there as it's wonderful to put on a Ritz cracker.
