Outdated and congested room size. Lobby and pool were good. Rooms are outdated and small. Pool could be opened a little later. Our reserved room was also not what we paid for. Reserved double queen got a double standard. Great location for shopping.

Food and service were good! We enjoyed our meals and got some local ice cream for dessert! If you get here try the " hit the trail" ice cream from the local creamery.

Decent room and clean. Really nice breakfast and in 20 minutes we were hiking in a State Forrest. Right in town so you can walk anywhere. We didn't use the pool or fitness center but looked real nice. Staff was outstanding and friendly. Would stay there again.

I've stayed here numerous times over the years and is my go to place when in the area. I tend to like the original section where I can park my motorcycle right in front of the room, or at least close by, and carry gear in and out quickly.
Yes it is older, but I've never had an issue with the rooms. The staff has always been very good, in my opinion. Yes it's not the perfect five star Hotel. But that's not for me anyway. I like what it is.
Where it is also a plus for me. Being in the center of Wellsboro, it's ideal for walking to what I need without having to get on the bike, or drive a car for

Only stayed one night. Room was very clean and quite. Parking lot is well lit and always had a spot. Had a continental breakfast in the AM. TV stations are limited if you are planning on staying in all day, we didn't. Has a pool and small exercise room though they close early. Staff was all friendly and accommodating.

Very nice hotel friendly and accommodating staff. We visit for a getaway a couple times a year. Love that they have a gym so I don’t miss a workout. Free breakfast every day. Nice quiet town. Enjoyed Halloween parade too.

Somewhat disappointing. For the nearly $200/night price tag, I expected better accommodations. It was a pretty standard hotel suite. The beds were like rocks, but if you like a firm mattress, it'd seem heavenly. Most units seemed to have a balcony or patio and an exterior door. This had neither. The front desk clerk didn't share details about how to arrive at room until she was asked. We would have been searching all over the place had we not asked. The place was serviceable, but I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

The free breakfast included fresh fruit and warm food. The pool was larger than many hotel pools, we enjoyed the hot tub, and the towels were a good size.

If you are expecting to stay at a modern hotel, this isn't it. It is a nice quirky historical hotel that was state of the art in the 1930's. That is what makes it fun and interesting including the small elevator and the stairwell that wraps around it.
The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Actually, everyone we encountered in Wellsboro was very friendly. We really liked the town itself. I would recommend staying here as a launching point for the trails in the Pine Creek Gorge.

This is such a charming, historic, hotel. We received a friendly greeting upon our arrival. Although our room was rather small, it was comfortable and clean. We had the pleasure of having dinner in their dining room. Our meal was delicious and the service was excellent! We enjoyed the soft big band music that was played in the background which enhanced our dining experience. we truly enjoyed our stay here.

Came up for a weekend to check out the meteor shower and booked the last room available, an economy room. The hotel itself is amazing and has such a great charm that perfectly fits the town. The outdoor dining area is great and the lobby. The room would have been great for 1 person, but was a bit tight for 2. Still, great overall. We asked to upgrade our room if they had a room open up, and thankfully they did. The room was so nice and had a nice view as well. We enjoyed the breakfast one morning and dinner in the courtyard once as well - both meals were fantastic. The best part of the hotel was

The rooms are clean and comfortable but bring a powerstrip because the outlets are few and not conveniently placed. The lounge is closed for “renovations” and that’s conveniently not mentioned on the website.… Jill, her mom and the evening dining room staff were very friendly and professional but that was it. Everyone else we encountered seemed miserable and not friendly. Breakfast was so-so, better to go to the diner or anywhere else. Dinner was very good with a nice selection of wines and cocktails.
