Services
Guided by faith-based leadership, we are a family of specialists, each performing a unique service. With a spirit of compassion, we provide excellence in healthcare to those we are privileged to serve. In 1945, the communities in Bowman and Slope Counties realized there was a need for organized health services.
Christine (Chris) Peterson is a native of Bowman. She brings a deep care of rural medicine and is very community oriented, volunteering on numerous boards and organizations including Rotary Club, and coaching T-ball. As a nurse practitioner, she practices a wide range of medicine including women's health, family medicine, trauma, cardiac, and stroke care.
Our organization is comprised of seven facilities which include a 23-bed critical access hospital, a 40 licensed bed long-term care facility, a rural health clinic, visiting nurse services, emergency ambulance service, physical and occupational therapy, 14 independent senior apartments and a 12 unit assisted living facility.
Southwest Healthcare Services Emergency Department is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center by North Dakota Department of Health. Our staff provides 24 hours a day emergency care services for Rural SW North Dakota. Our staff is highly trained in Emergency care and ready to respond immediately to your needs as our providers have ATLS, ACLS, and PALS and our nursing staff have ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
We are a Critical Care Access Hospital located in Bowman, ND that is licensed for 23 beds. We offer the following services: Medical Services, Outpatient Intravenous Therapy, Endoscopy Services, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, and Laboratory. We provide Inpatient and Observation care to patients of all ages.
