Tapia Family Child Care
Congratulations to Martha "Yoly" Tapia on receiving the Early Educator of the Year Award from LAUP (Child360)! Each year, the Los Angeles Universal Preschool honors five early educators from across Los Angeles County for their commitment to nurturing our youngest learners. At A+ Tapia Family Child Care, we open the doors of our home and our hearts to young children and their families.

Located in Glendale, California, we serve children from newborn to school age in a loving environment that promotes growth and learning through play-based activities.
Services
In 1993, Martha Yolanda Tapia and family created the A+ Tapia Family Child Care and Developmental Program and have been serving families with child care needs ever since. Our program focuses on the total needs of the child-emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual and social. We work as partners with parents and/or legal guardians to recognize and fulfill the individual needs of each and every child.
We are a three-member team with a combined 53 years of experience. Our entire staff has had intensive child development training through the Child Care Resource Center (CCRC), the Los Angeles Universal Preschool (now Child360), the California Consortium for Independent Study (CCIS), the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC), UC Davis, the KCET Sesame Street Preschool Educational Program and Child360's STEAM Teacher's Institute.
We can't say enough positive things about Yoly, Veronica and Esmeralda. They have taken care of both of our sons now, and the love and affection they provide is truly something you won't find anywhere else. Yoly was born to work with children, and you can see it in every interaction she has with them - everything is done with enthusiasm, patience, kindness and respect.
Our program has been developed to serve children from newborn to school age by providing age appropriate educational materials and activities that will fulfill each developmental stage.

We have created an environment that invites each child to engage in activities that will promote growth, learning, and holistic development by working on home/cooking, pretending, art, science, blocks, reading, library, tools, music, centers/areas, and academic activities to prepare for kindergarten.
We believe in serving healthy, home-cooked meals to all of our children. We also do our best to serve only organic food-the milk, eggs, meat, and most fruits and vegetables we provide are organic. Parents and/or legal guardians may provide bottles which will be left on premesis and washed and sanitized daily.

In a word-excellent. My Husband and I have used them many times and are always happy with the sitters. Just last night we used one and when we got home from the concert, she had cleaned the house after putting the kids to bed. Like I said-excellent.

My husband and I have a 10 month old son who's been going to Tapia Family Child Care since he was 3 months. He loves it and we love it too! Martha, Lala and Veronica are fantastic, super caring and really like a family for our baby and for the other kids.
Our son has learned and developed so many skills since he has started going there: we love the playful approach and the family environment. The other kids are also great: very well mannered and sweet and nice to each other, which goes a long way to show how good Martha and her team are. It's a super special place and we couldn't recommend it
