Varenita promises a fully refundable deposit when leasing. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, my parents chose to not move into Varenita Westlake Village (not yet open). It has been a month with multiple emails and calls, and we have not received the deposit back. That money is needed for moving elsewhere. The response is very convoluted, and all sorts of excuses are given. Someone is out sick, they're behind in refunds, checks are only sent once, corporate sends the checks back, there is a long list of refunds that have to go out before ours. I'm sorry, but this is a very poor way

If preliminaries preceding their actual opening in a few months is any indicator, I'd say Varenita's Senior Living in Westlake Village, is a winner! Varenita's architectural elegance and expertise in their specific field is a given; their ongoing communication and extraordinary and thoughtful outreach to their potential residents, is what tells the true story. Kudos, congrats, Varenita, with a special shout out of deepest regard, respect and appreciation to Shari and Mary Ann!

Although this new senior living community is not yet open, I have been very impressed with how they are operating so far. I placed a deposit for my mom to move in when they open this spring. I was able to view a model unit at their leasing center, where they had a lot of photos and floor plan information so I could get an idea of what Varenita will look like. I met with the sales director, who was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She was able to give me a really good picture of what my mom can expect when she moves in. I was tentative about her moving into a community due to Covid, but

I attended a presentation about this future assisted living facility in Simi Valley where Julie, Dana, and Annie were there to answer all my questions.. From what I saw in the brochure and architectural plans on the walls, this will be a spectacular, much-needed assisted living facility. It sounds gorgeous! Although it’’s still under construction, you can see an example of the kitchen and bathroom in the leasing office. The bathroom is huge, can accommodate a wheelchair and several helpers, and there is no level change going into the shower. Perfect for someone with limited mobility, back issues

Live Long, Die short gives us a deeper understanding of what it takes to be authentically healthy, the profound negative effects of modern day stress, and our need to nurture all aspects of our magnificent human nature and age successfully.
I want to take my hat off to Annie and her team at Varenita Simi Valley for thinking outside the box with this book club and adopting this philosophy
