About Us Report
In 1953, Monford Drug burned, and at that time, L.O. "Doc" Southern and Elizabeth bought into the store, Holder / Southern Drug was formed. They were partners until 1973 and Jim bought out his interest. Mary was an integral part of the store, in charge of the gift department as well as bookkeeping.

Wonderful place. Our first visit we took the kids for ice cream and showed up (accidentally) 10 minutes before close. The lovely man that was there took us back and gave us all ice creams.

I am a mom of 4 and my baby has rsv (thankfully this is our first experience with RSV. )We were in the Alva Urgent care very late and Holder drug stayed open late for us to pick up our medicine. They made us feel so comfortable and took the time to explain everything very throughly to us without making us feel like they were in a hurry to get off of work.
Their patience did not go unnoticed. This momma really appreciated their time and comfort.

Old timey small town drug store. They have an ice cream shop/cafe in the back. I had a presciption sent to the pharmacy here that ended up being super expensive. The pharmacist spotted me 3 days worth of the medicine while I talked to my doctor about lowering the cost and other options. That was really nice.
