My office provides a wide range of dental services for the whole family. Children and seniors are especially welcome. I have more than 30 years of experience performing such services as tooth colored fillings, crowns and bridges, full and partial dentures, root canal treatments, gum therapy, dental implant restorations, mini implants, Invisalign orthodontics, and oral surgery such as tooth removal.

Went here for re-filling of old fillings that fell out, and re-sealing of old fillings. John is heavy on the local anesthetic (which I appreciate) and also verbal about each step he is doing (in case you appreciate that, which I also do). He seems to have newer tools/techniques that don't rely on pure "gut feeling" from the dentist, allowing him to take less material out (not heavy handed on the drill). He pays attention to your well-being the whole time, and is thorough. Also has good taste in music around the office.

The woman at the reception desk in charge of making sure dental insurance pays for the services completely messed everything up and did not care in the slightest, she just demanded post factum - "just pay us $500". So this woman, Sherry, who was supposed to check my dental insurance, etc, did not do so but surely did scheduled my cleaning appointment, and for some reason, they also scheduled a second cleaning, shortly after the first one. Never in over 30 years have I had to pay $500 for any dental cleaning while having dental insurance. The issue was that the company we work for moved

I've been going to this office for a number of years. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Dr. Stevens has a wonderful jovial personality that creates a great atmosphere. He takes time with his patients and is a very competent dentist. I actually have two insurance policies and they are willing to work with me on both.
Dr. Ma is also very good and directed me to a specialist for a root canal. All in all, I think you would be very happy with these dentists.

Everyone in the office is very nice from Sherry, to Perry to Dr Stevens. I recently had an appointment with Dr.Ma and Lexi. I let them know that I have sensitive teeth. Dr. Ma was very kind and courteous. He also educated me on order of oral care. Floss first, brush and finish with mouth rinse. He was very gentle, so gentle that I almost fell asleep 3x. It was like a spa date for my teeth. Can't wait until my next appointment :)

I recently moved to Santa Cruz and needed to find a new Dentist. I found Dr. Stevens through Yelp and I'm happy to say that all of the raving reviews were true. Everyone was very friendly and super welcoming. I made an initial appointment as a new patience that includes some x-rays and a quick consultation. Unfortunately, you have to schedule the actual cleaning for another day, but considering how personable and professional everyone was, I don't mind. I really liked Dr. Stevens, very knowledgeable and great bed since manners. Looking forward to being a regular patient here.

Dr. Ma and the entire staff at Dr. Stevens office is above and beyond the best dental experience I've ever had in my life. I've had so very many dental issues in my past down to needing round the clock IV's for bone infections. I can't express the professionalism, care, and knowledge this team has show. I'm finally on the road to a healthy mouth. 1000% recommend!!

I went in today to have an old filling replaced, but when the dentist checked it out, he said it didn't need to be replaced. He did not even charge me. This was my first time here after leaving a dental office I had gone to for years. The old office ripped me off, replacing two filling that didn't even need it!!! I scheduled my twice yearly cleanings with this office and will continue here from now on. I got good service from everyone I'm pleased to say.

I had the same dentist for over 40 years. Even after I moved to Scotts Valley, I continued to drive over the hill for my annual exams and cleanings. I trusted and liked my dentist and his staff that much. But, my dentist finally retired. He sold his practice and I went to the new guy a few times, but I didn't care for it. I felt like the new dentist talked at me instead of with me, and every time I went in there was another fancy new piece of equipment (and he seemed to come up with procedures you "needed" so he could charge more and pay for them). My first visit at Dr Stevens office was terrific! I walked in and immediately felt welcomed by the staff as if I have been a long time client. Dr Stevens was very thorough in his consultation and examination of my teeth. I felt he was honest and was looking to help me and resolve my dental issues rather than my previous dentist office was trying to make the most money out of every visit. Dr Stevens came highly recommended to me by many clients and friends in the Scotts Valley community and I now too highly recommend Dr Stevens as well.
