With Bob's extensive background in electronics the business was initially repairing and installing garage door openers and quickly evolved into a comprehensive garage door and opener company. Jim Nielson took over the company in 1987 when Bob retired.
Jim continued the business, keeping the same company name and delivering the same great customer service! We had a broken coil on our garage door, and called in to get an appointment scheduled. They luckily had someone in our neighborhood and had someone drop by within and hour of being on the phone! The technician quickly identified what was wrong with our coil, and knew exactly how to replace it. The fix took thirty minutes. They were respectful, professional, knowledgeable and delivered for us at a great price. 5 stars, would hire again in a heartbeat.

We have worked with Steorts several times. They came out to fix a broken spring and we liked them so much that we later had them install new doors and openers. Recently we needed an emergency repair after the door didn't open all the way which we didn't notice and accidentally backed out and jammed the door. They came right out and got us all fixed up. These guys are nice, honest, and they do good quality work!
