While most of our patients are adolescents and adults, sometimes patients need orthodontic treatment at an earlier age - for those patients, we recommend interceptive treatment. For many teens, braces are a rite of passage: They're one more example of the changes adolescents go through at this time - along with growth in stature, edgier tastes in clothes and music, and an increasing degree of self-awareness.

Now that you have your braces, how do you take care of them? It's important for you to know how to properly take care of your braces throughout your entire orthodontic treatment. Don't worry, you'll be eating popcorn and snacking on potato chips again in no time! However, before you can start enjoying some of the treats you love, you will need to take special care to avoid any foods that could damage your new appliances.

We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history. For diagnosis, we will do a thorough assessment of your orthodontic needs, and discuss your needs, goals and concerns. From there, we will explain any issues and help you choose options for treatment.
