Dr. Powell was born and raised in Queens, New York. He went to Holy Cross High School in Flushing and went on to study Biology, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. Dr. Powell had the privilege of being accepted into the Dental Program at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where he received his degree in Dentistry in the last class before the dental school was closed in 1990.
