Lakeside Veterinary Clinic was established in 1992 in Tupper Lake, in the heart of New York's beautiful Adirondack Mountains. We are a small animal clinic committed to providing the best possible healthcare to pets in a professional, courteous, and caring manner. Our excellent staff believes that animal comfort comes first and foremost. We also strive to provide our clients the best possible service in an atmosphere of compassion and understanding. We provide a warm, clean environment for our patients and boarders.
Services
We offer boarding facilities for those instances when our four-legged family members need a babysitter or cannot travel with the rest of the family. We try to keep their schedule at our facility as close as possible to their schedule at home. Owners are required to fill out a questionnaire detailing their pet's habits and food preferences as well as a release form.
Lakeside Veterinary Clinic is a general practice. We provide preventative medical, surgical, and dental services; in addition to treating sick and injured pets, with the belief that accurate diagnosis is the foundation to effective treatment. On a daily basis we see pets for their annual physical examinations and administer appropriate vaccinations.
Microchips are a permanent way of identifying your pet. A very tiny computerized microchip is placed below the skin in a standardized area based on the type of animal. There is no working or moving part, so the chip can't stop working. The chip is encased in biocompatible material so there is no tissue rejection or reaction.
We digital x-rays to perform evaluations of our patients allowing us to diagnose both soft tissue (chest and abdomen) and skeletal abnormalities. We also radiograph animals to certify them as good breeding candidates by having the x-rays evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. As necessary, we use the radiology department at Cornell University for radiology consults.

Read other neg reviews! They tell TRUTH about horrible vet! Lied many times to us! Forced unneeded dangerous vaccine right before surgery. Provided proof of vaccine prior. Repeatedly said we don't want her vaccinated yet again. You don't vaccinate any animal during stress or illness. Did it anyway. Charged 4X cost of vaccine. Charged us a HUNDRED bucks more than what we were QUOTED for spaying. Claimed dog weight was more. Truth is she weighed several lbs less, and was weighed by her 2 weeks before surgery. Wouldn't let us see her when there to pick her up until AFTER we'd PAID the overcharged
