Mercer Transportation is based in Louisville, KY and has over 2,400 proud owner operators. Established in 1977, Mercer has a long history of providing superior customer service. Our goal is to become a partner with our customers to help them transport their cargo in a safe manner. Unlike other carriers, Mercer has only one office per city.

Do you have oversized or unusually shaped cargo that needs to be transported? Mercer Transportation is the largest privately held flatbed carrier in the nation. We have no hubs or terminals and the driver that picks up the cargo is the driver that delivers. Tarping cargo is available upon request and we have team service available.

If you have a large number of crates that need to be transported at once in a convenient and organized manner, choose Mercer Transportation. We can transport your cargo in one of our 53-foot dry van, the most common type of freight transportation. These trailers open in the back and protect the cargo from bad weather, potential damage, and theft.

Any cargo that exceeds one or more of the standard legal size criteria for each state or province is termed as over dimensional cargo. In other words, products that exceed any of the general guidelines for legal parameters and non-reducible in size fall under this category. At Mercer Transportation, we can safely transport wide, long, heavy, and tall loads on our trailers.
