Highlands was the death of my poor mom. She had just been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. And so umc sent her to highlands. She was there one night and the next day when we went to see her she was balling her eyes out because the CNA and nurse were called by my mom, and for over 45 minutes no one came in to help her use the restroom. Unfortunately my mom had to go so bad and had no strength in her legs to take herself to the restroom and had to go in the bed. 45 minutes is ridiculous. And not okay. What if it was something more severe than going restroom? Well sure enough it was

My Dad was taken to Highland on Oct 25th by Wm Beamont. Havent had the chance to evaluate the staff because it was late. But for a hospital it doesnt smell clean at all. Its gloomy. The place needs a good scrubbing from corner to corner.

Highlands Rehab Hospital is awesome! My mom was at this rehab center for 3 weeks and nothing but good reviews. All the rehab personnel were always very attentive, respectful and kind. My mom is a very picky person and she was very grateful on how they were always patient and listen to you concerns. They always helped her with her physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The meals were very good and the rooms are always clean. I looked around before committing to this place and it was well worth my time. I recommend.

Highlands hospital exceeded all of my expectations for the duration of my stay. From the moment I arrived the staff was very accommodating and even brought me dinner in case I hadn't ate yet at the previous hospital! The nursing staff is attentive and respond fairly quickly once you've paged them. The food seems to be a hit and miss depending on who you ask, but I can definitely say that it is leaps and bounds better than anything I ate at UMC. My therapists that worked with me for the duration of my stay were both outstanding, absolutely no complaints. I am very impressed with the amount of progress

My mother was sent to highlands after hip surgery, while there of course we could not see her due to covid restrictions, after a few weeks she was sent back to hospital for breathing issues, Highlands never called to let us know she had been transferred by ambulance to the ER .
We only found out when the hospital called for information to Admit her
Which is just not cool at all.
Worst part is when we asked to pick up her personal belongings they at first couldn't find any of her things, after pressing the issue we went to pick up her things and sure enough they/someone stole her the back pack

Is there an option for a 10 star? Whew man where to start?! 🤔 Okay so since I’m only 37, I’ve had no experience with rehabilitation hospitals prior to this. I just kind of picked off of choices my insurance would cover after 2 major back surgeries within a week of each other.
At my age because of an old occupation, I know a lot about hospitals, skilled nursing homes, home healthcare, and rehabs; but only from the healthcare giver’s perspective. So my first night here I was like a kid going to school for the first time in a new city.
Once I got settled into my room for the first night

Hi, my name is Susie, I turned 50 and who knew I would start falling apart, well kind of. I just had to undergo a total left hip replacement due to Advanced Osteoarthritis. I had requested that I be placed at Highlands Rehab in-patient as I wanted my recoup to be fast unfortunately, my insurance denied me. Thankfully, I was able to get physical therapy on an out patient basis. I started therapy 3 times per week about 1 week after my surgery and I already notice such progress. I chose Highlands because of the great memories that I have on the care that both my mother and father, who are no longer

DO NOT send your love ones to Highland. My mother was admitted and within days of her stay she fell due to the negligence of the staff. They failed to do any follow up after her fall. It was not until I personally requested that an ambulance come and remove her from the facility that I got the attention of the staff. By then 4 hours had passed and my mother was taken to hospital where she was examined by a doctor. To add insult to injury they recently sent a letter claiming it was my mother lack of cooperation which led them to remove her from the facility. Staff is incompetent.

My dad recently entered Highlands Regional Rehab Hospital for two weeks, and our family was thrilled with the level and quality of care provided. He had been in other rehab facilities and compared with those, Highlands' facilities were much cleaner and better organized, the staff was much more efficient and thorough and the quality of medical services was much higher. My dad liked it so much he would've been happy to stay a little longer, but we're glad to have him home.

There is very poor communication between staff. My mother was admitted for a week following a fall, and the first nurse said the low level pain killers she was taking that still left her in a great deal of pain would have to be stepped up to stronger medications in order to facilitate rehab, since you are not supposed to be in a great deal of pain for that. She told us she was going to have the doctor prescribe a stronger med. Never happened. The next day I came in and she hadn't slept all night due to the pain. The staff is friendly but not very efficient. I had to make sure that the
