Services
Saddleback Children's Center (SCC) was established in 1983 by Community Lutheran Church. Originally located in El Toro, the church and school moved to Rancho Santa Margarita in 1988. SCC is a non-profit institution operated by Community Lutheran Church. The governing board, made up of church members and SCC parents, meets bi-monthly and is responsible for the practical operation of the school.
Our staff is required to hold credentials from the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing. Staff members also participate in professional growth including continuing education, seminars and annual conferences in order to keep abreast of new developments in early childhood education and continue to provide a quality program for the children.
A: We serve children 2 - 5 years of age. Children are put into class by age: three-year old classes, four-year old Pre-Kindergarten classes and five-year old Junior Kindergarten classes. We also offer a Jumpstart Preschool class for young children that are not yet toilet-trained. A: Regular preschool classes can have up to 16 children in them with a teacher and teacher's aide in each room (1:8 ratio).

Saddleback Children's Center is an accredited, developmental program and offers age-appropriate learning activities in a center-based classroom.
Jumpstart is designed for children 2 and older. We offer a first preschool experience to those children that may not be toilet-trained or are too old for a toddler program. This program helps children with toilet-training and supports parents in this all important milestone in their child's life. Intended as an occasional day of fun for children enrolled in our Morning Preschool Program.

Saddleback Children's Center has an amazing staff that helped my children grow academically and balanced it with programs in art, music and nature. The staff is caring and nurturing, which my children needed. The true sign of a good preschool is when your children can't wait to go in the morning, which as a parent I am grateful for.
