Wonderful old building. Very nice atmosphere. Great to be able to enjoy a good meal then sit back and relax with a good conversation. The meatloaf over Mashed potatoes was not only presented beautifully, but was extremely good. Definitely recommend.

Excellent starters, entrees, sandwiches, and wraps! The chicken spinach wrap is a delicious mix of veggies, chicken, hummus, and tzatziki. Fried pickles were some of the best I’ve had—crunchy, well-seasoned batter and great ratio of pickles. The baked goat cheese was fabulous, too! Comes with a focaccia-like bread.

We were driving thru town, so glad we stopped! Lunch was amazing, Mexican hot chicken sandwich was perfect and you have to get the peanut butter pie. Definitely worth checking out!

The reviews were good, the pictures look good, the place is adorable, but it was unfortunately a big disappointment. The front two rooms only had 1 table taken and we were sat in the larger room next to a group of 18 very loud people.
I’m all about good favorable food. The crab puppies were good, but I could not eat the pumpkin risotto with salmon. It had so many wrong bland flavors going on and covered with balsamic. The meatloaf was filled with curry!? I love Indian food and curry has its place, but for this southern girl it doesn’t belong in meatloaf. We left 75% of our food on our plates

I've been here a couple times before, but had somehow not had brunch yet. Today I had the Crab Cake Benedict. So freaking good! Everything about this was amazing. My friend had the mile high omelette with a side of biscuits and gravy. We both finished our plates 😊 I somehow found room for dessert when i heard about the pumpkin cinnamon roll. Great choice. I can't recommend Screen Door Kitchen enough. Great job y'all! Please keep doing what you do!

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owner(s) and trying one of their famous burgers. I ordered the "border burger" which is one of the spicier items on the menu. It not only had fresh vegetables with a spicy mayo spread, but a nice subtle crunch from the tostada. 10/10 would recommend stopping by before leaving Dayton.

Met some friends here before climbing and fell in love!! The staff is amazingly friendly and the food is so good!! This has become a once a week tradition for us to travel to Dayton from Cleveland just to eat and enjoy the staff. They remember your name, welcome you like it’s Home and fill your belly. Thank you Screen Door Kitchen for everything!!!

I took my niece there while on a road trip, and my GOODNESS - I loved the homey atmosphere, the music (French cafe tunes, when I was there!), and then there was the food! The menu had so many tempting choices, but I was so happy with the fried green tomatoes and the shrimp & grits - then the most decadent chocolate cake and scrumptious peanut butter pie for dessert!
AND the chef came out to ask about our meal herself - I love that I can support a woman-owned business on top of it all! 10/10 would recommend!

Cutest restaurant inside an old farmhouse with phenomenal food & atmosphere. Incredible Crab Cake Benedict {I’d go back a million times just for this}, shrimp and grits are so yummy. Salads are amazing. You. Can’t. Go. Wrong! Must visit.

I was told about this place from a realtor who lives in the area. Let me tell you, the food was fantastic! We started with appetizers that were unique and delicious. My main course of shrimp and grits was satisfying and the flavor was delicious. My hubby got the rib eye steak and mashed potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes are fresh scratch made and the steak was tender and very flavorful. We got the peanut butter pie for dessert and is was so good. We also got the cheese cake and the chocolate cake to take home. Both of those were so good. I would go back anytime!
