Rochester Dance Lessons

Rochester Dance Lessons has been teaching people to dance for 11 years. Our studio started by simply renting floor space for its first client 11 years ago and has grown year after year ever since. In October of 2014 our studio moved into its current location at 34 Elton Street in Rochester's rapidly growing arts district, aptly named Neighborhood of the Arts.

Private lessons are the core of all of our dance programs. Everyone has different goals and learning styles. At the beginning of each program, we will work together to set goals and then tailor your private lessons in order to achieve them. Each Private lesson is 45 minutes long and is scheduled by appointment with your instructor.

Shoes that will stay on your feet is a good idea. No flip-flops, sandals, etc. Other than that wear whatever is comfortable in the beginning. When you advance in your dancing then it will become more important to wear more appropriate, dance friendly shoes. Your teacher will let you know when the time comes, but for now keep it casual and have fun.

This is how your dance lessons begin. This is a sample private lesson where you are introduced to the studio and the method of instruction. It will also give your teacher an opportunity to learn more about your strengths as well as which areas you may need to work on. At the end of the lesson you will have tried a few different dances and really see how easy and fun it is to learn how to dance.

This is it! Everything is paid for. The ceremony was beautiful. The dinner was terrific. But before the celebration continues into the wee hours of the morning, it is time for you to be introduced to everyone as husband and wife by dancing to your song. Make this moment as special as possible by learning how to dance.
