Wow. This is a really gross company town. The whole place from the gas station to the resorts and RV park are owned but the same people. Full of cops for no real reason. I saw FOUR in the hour I was in town. That's more than I saw the 10 days I was in the the whole big bend area. This place is for rich people who like to pretend to be outdoorsy. Skip unless you like owning car dealerships, underpaying employees, and playing golf. (who puts a gold course in the desert?!)

Room are in desperate need of paint and refurbishing. The resort overall is in need of much TLC. Hot water was tepid at best this afternoon. We’ve had to step thru water on the sidewalk to our room.
Dinner was very good last night with good service.
Picked up coffee early at bakery. My latte was cold so she steamed again and then gave me about a half of the previous cup. She did not like me asking for another!

Lajitas is on a beautiful piece of property with many wonderful amenities available for guests of all ages. We had planned to do several on our last day there, only problem is none of the amenities are available during working hours like on a Monday. We should of checked, but I guess, we just figured it was a business and would be open during business hours. Also after paying over $1k to stay here for 3 nights I figured things like a microwave would be included with the rooms, not an upcharge for $10 for 48 hours. The staff was hit and miss as well. Richard at the front desk was fantastic and very

My Wife and I loved our stay at the Lajitas Golf Resort. We stayed there during the New Year's weekend. We wanted a place to stay that was close to Big Bend National Park. We are not golfers or adventure type people. We went there to get away, relax, and take a drive through Big Bend National Park. We stayed in the Badlands Hotel. The room was very comfortable for us. The views from the room were spectacular. The food at the Candelilla Cafe was very very good from our perspective. My poor planning prevented us from enjoying their New Year's Eve dinner. They were fully booked for that night. We

If into the Big Bend, this might be a place for you to stay.
Nicely located, comfortable quiet rooms in what was The Badlands Hotel.
Somewhat pricey, but still within means, especially if you are a golfer.
There is no breakfast, besides morning coffee.
There is a bar, a restaurant and a bakery.
Front desk is 24/7 and you can get extra coffee packets and the creamer.
Enjoy your stay!
PS.: on the way back, take 170 West - beautiful road.

Loved the fact it is dog friendly. Staff very friendly. Food was very good. Pricey but you are in the middle of nowhere. Resort needs some work but nothing that made the stay unpleasant. Great spot to see Big Bend State Park and would highly recommend state park over National Park.

Thank you!! I arrived late, 30 minutes prior to closing and had not been able to make a dinner reservation due to cell reception. The staff was so kind and accommodating to get us a fantastic dinner... just what I wanted. Awesome margaritas, compliments to the chef for my great steak. And the beds are so comfortable, rooms so clean, grounds are so immaculately maintained... excellent all around.

$135.00 spent for dinner and we had to take it to go and eat it in our room. A ruined evening.
We chose this resort as the 'special' place to stay on our weeklong vacation in the area. We had no issues checking in and the room was very nice. What was disappointing, was our dinner service and resort response. Check-In Thursday recommended we make reservations for dinner, and we attempted to. We arrived on Thursday and were told no reservations were available until the following Monday.
Seriously? We understand the issues of COVID, but you still need to provide services to all your paying guests

After several days of traveling, it was nice to settle here at Lajitas for a few days. Connor, in reservations, was super helpful making us a last minute reservation. We rented a condo which was perfect for us with the kids and my parents. We were greeted by Michelle upon arrival who was so sweet and helpful and really took charge of the front desk. You could tell she really knew what she was doing and made sure everything was covered, especially making sure the guests were good and informed. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. The views are amazing around the resort. We made it to our

Hands down BEST massage I've ever had over many cities and countries! Lisa knew all the right pressure points! I had been in serious pain for about a month. I'd even had two massages in that time frame and after 50 mins with Lisa, my headache was gone. Lajitas is a beautiful destination but I'd come just for the massage!

The main thing here is the massages. And those were good.

My husband and I decided it would be nice to treat ourselves while in the area. We each got a Swedish massage, and we both enjoyed them very much. My therapist was Gina and the massage was just the right amount of pressure (and she invited me to let her know if any part of the treatment or massage table needed adjustment). The level of service was just fine and not different from any other massage that I've had in the last 30 years. My husband had a similar experience.

Two ways to improve:

(1) Make it very clear that a gratuity

I decided to surprise my husband on our anniversary with a massage. Since we were staying at the Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa, it made sense to get the massage at their resort, WRONG. My husband and I had an awful experience with the massage we received at Agave Spa.

My husband and I indulge in monthly massages, and we always book a massage while we are on vacation, and I can honestly say that our experience at Agave Spa was the worst we have ever had. The deep tissue massage isn't that deep! My husband had to remind his masseuse that he had ordered the deep tissue and not the Swedish massage
