Services
The Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors was founded in 1946 as part of the AGC of America and is dedicated to the principles of Skill, Integrity and Responsibility in the construction industry. The Chapter provides services (safety, advocacy, networking, education, building information, workers comp and health insurance) to commercial construction firms working in the Austin area and throughout Central Texas.
The Austin AGC serves as the voice of Austin's commercial construction industry at the local, state and national levels of government. Thanks to the support of our membership, we are able to have a positive impact on business issues that affect all local commercial contractors, whether they are members or not.
The Austin AGC Political Action Committee (PAC) supports state and local candidates who demonstrate an understanding of the construction industry and ability to protect the interests of Texas' contractors and their employees. The PAC relies on voluntary donations from contractor members for funding.
Plans social events for the Chapter and is open to all members to attend. Contact Toni Osberry for more information. The primary purpose of the LAC is to provide information and education on current construction law matters to Austin AGC member contractors. Other tasks on behalf of the Chapter may arise as needed.
