Ron Ridpath began car repair when he was only 14 years old by tinkering on his friend's cars in his parent's garage in Glenolden. The family garage was so small that most times a car could not pull all the way in. While attending high school Ron started working at an auto dealership where he rose to the rank of service manager after graduating high school.
Official PA state facility. Our technicians are capable of handling all of your inspection / emission needs including basic annual inspection, diagnostics, and repair. Our oil change includes most filters, the topping of fluids and adjusting tire pressure. We will check for tire rotation as well. We can handle all types of oil needs including synthetic, semi-synthetic, and all European oils.
Ridpath's Auto Center is conveniently located in the heart of Springfield Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Our shop is on East Woodland Avenue (aka: Route 420) immediately past Powell Road, and is located between Citizens Bank and Nick's Roast Beef. We are on the same side of the street as E.T. Richardson Middle School, which is roughly only a block away from Ridpath's.

Great local shop. Rates are very reasonable and service is timely. Owners and mechanics are knowledgeable, even when it comes to certain make/model specific quirks. I know my cars, their common/uncommon issues and parts costs, and can easily tell if mechanics are dishonest or lack the specific knowledge. This shop is consistent and reliable. A+.

There are a lot of words I can use to describe my experience at Ridpath. Friendly, professional, courteous, clean… However they are all secondary to the reason that they are my mechanic.
They are honest, that is why they were recommended to me, that is why I went there once and that is why I return there every time I need work on my car.

I really like these guys. Been to a few different mechanics in the area before coming across Ridpath and their a pleasure doing business with.
They take the time to explain what the issue was, which does a lot in instilling trust (especially when you don't know what you're paying for at the mechanic!).
Just make sure your schedule a few days in advance because they can get busy (as popular businesses do!)
