Periodically, we develop blockages and imbalances in the body caused by physical or emotional trauma. If the physical or emotional traumas are not dealt with, they can manifest into disease.

Do not wear scents (perfume, cologne, oils, lotions, hair spray, etc.), as some of our patients are chemically sensitive. You may choose to bring a light throw or blanket to put over you while you relax during your treatment. Prior to your first Acupuncture treatment, as a New Patient: Plan on staying for at least 90 minutes, arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork unless previously completed.
Acupuncture is the insertion of sterile, disposable, needles into specific sites on the body known as acupuncture points. The needles are only slightly larger than a human hair. In fact, they are called "filiform" meaning "hairlike." Each acupuncture point runs along an energetic pathway called a meridian and has a specific function to effect physiological change in the body.

I highly recommend DeWayne Baugus and Maplebrook!
After Thanksgiving I developed a pinched nerve. My family doctor prescribed a round of steroids (pills) which did nothing. I ended up with an spinal MRI and was told to wait 2 months for an appointment with a neurologist (that's today).
Meanwhile, I was continuing to suffering from radiating pain in my left shoulder, left arm, forearm and numbness in my left hand. I started going in for massages which helped but it wasn't until I went in for a private consult and appointment with Maplebrook that I saw some real relief!

The atmosphere is very family-like ,each staff member caring and attentive. Dewayne is an amazing healer.He listens,asks questions,observes responses and develops a plan to give each patient the best result. He is all about continuing education and is willing to check into new studies of many natural genres. He is definitely keeping me mobile!! He is blessed with his healing gift.
